Joel Embiid Over 12.5 Rebounds+Assists
Another R+A trend in this matchup comes via the 2022-2023 MVP. Dating back to the 2021-22 season, Embiid has faced the Celtics on eight occasions and has cleared this in seven of those contests averaging 17.1 R+A per game. Much of his assist work (averaging 5 per game over this span) is likely due to the constant double-teams Boston sends at him, and I’d expect him to be dishing it out more often with his injury.
It’s hard to know exactly how many minutes Joel Embiid will see tonight, but I doubt they would send him out there if he wasn’t able to go around 30 minutes or more. Even with his injury, I feel safe assuming Embiid will come close to around the 10.2 rebounds per game he had during the regular season.
