That Game 1 was incredible. We saw James Harden go back into his 2017 form and carry Philly to an astonishing road win. Many people forget that this was once one of the best players in the league, and he’s always been one of my favorite guys to watch. The status of Joel Embiid is still lingering over this series, though, and that could be the difference between these two teams. With that said, we’re going to assume he sits again, so many of the picks from Monday will remain the same.

Injury Report
Core Plays
James Harden (PG/SG – PHI): $10,200 DraftKings, $16,000 FanDuel
We had Harden as one of our favorite plays on Monday, and we’re obviously going right back to him. The former MVP turned back the clock to score 45 points in that shocking road win. We’ve seen this guy do that in the past, but it’s the role that really makes him valuable. Harden played 39 minutes and took 30 shots while handling the ball on every possession. If Embiid is out again, look for Harden to carry the load once again.
Cash Game Considerations
Jayson Tatum (SF/PF – BOS): $11,400 DraftKings, $17,000 FanDuel
Tatum is the highest-scoring player in this series and will be the safest cash game option on every slate. The All-Star averaged over 50 DraftKings points per game in the regular season, scoring 67 DK points in back-to-back outings. That makes him an easy play in your star slot because he’s scored at least 52 fantasy points in five of his last six outings.
Tobias Harris (SF/PF – PHI): $7,200 DraftKings, $12,000 FanDuel
We had Tody in this section on Monday, and we’re going right back to the well. This guy’s production skyrockets whenever Embiid is out, averaging nearly 40 DK points per game when he was sidelined in the regular season. That bump is no surprise when looking at his role, seeing a tremendous increase in shot attempts, rebounds, and usage. This guy has been an $8K player in the past in this type of role and would be tough to fade if the MVP has to sit.
GPP Targets
De’Anthony Melton (PG/SG – PHI): $5,400 DraftKings, $8,500 FanDuel
Melton is the sneakiest option whenever Embiid is sidelined. We don’t expect the stat-stuffing guard to start, but he played over 30 minutes a night when Embiid was sidelined in the regular season. More importantly, he averaged nearly 35 fantasy points per game. We saw him drop 27 DK points across 25 minutes in Game 1, and that’s really all you need from such an affordable player.
Paul Reed (PF/C – PHI): $7,000 DraftKings, $11,000 FanDuel
Reed got the start at center for Embiid on Monday, and he’d be the best value play if Embiid is out. In the last three games that Joel has missed, Reed has scored at least 35 DraftKings points in all of them. Reed is also averaging nearly 40 fantasy points per game in those outings and needs to play big minutes to oppose Al Horford and Robert Williams. We saw him play 37 minutes in Game 1, and there are simply no other players in this price range with that sort of opportunity.
Value Plays
Al Horford (PF/C – BOS): $6,200 DraftKings, $10,000 FanDuel
Big Al always steps up in the postseason. The big man is averaging nearly 35 DraftKings points per game throughout his playoff career. The boost in playing time is his biggest asset, playing over 32 minutes a night this postseason. He’s also got a 34-point average across his last three outings, which is brilliant from a player in this price range. There are not many safer bets out there, making Big Al the best value play on this single-game slate.
Advantageous Pricing
PJ Tucker (PF – PHI): $3,800 DraftKings, $7,500 FanDuel
De’Anthony Melton (PG/SG – PHI): $5,400 DraftKings, $8,500 FanDuel
