We had a feeling that those home teams would prevail in Game 5 on Wednesday, and they did just that. New York and Golden State both took care of business and cut each series to a 3-2 deficit. This will be a much more difficult task for both teams, though, because they need to extend their series on the road. That’s a tall order against the Lakers and Heat, but it’ll make for one of the most exciting slates of the season. With that in mind, let’s look at the schedule and odds!

Injury Report
Core Plays
Anthony Davis (PF/C – LAL): $10,300 DraftKings, $11,200 FanDuel
It’s somewhat shocking that AD will be ready to play here after how he looked on Wednesday, but we are excited to use him. The former All-Star has scored at least 51 DraftKings points in 13 of his last 19 games. He’s also flirting with a 60-point average in that span and needs to be at full tilt with LA playing a closeout game at home. That could lead to AD Playing 40 minutes and taking 20-25 shots, which is all we could hope for since he has one of the best matchups on the court.
Stephen Curry (PG/SG – GSW): $10,200 DraftKings, $10,400 FanDuel
We had Chef Curry in here on Wednesday, and we’re going back to the well for all the same reasons. The former MVP averaged over 50 DK points per game during the regular season and has been even better in this series. He’s averaging 55 DraftKings points per game in 13 career elimination games and should benefit from this matchup. LA allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing point guards in the regular season.
Cash Game Considerations
Jimmy Butler (SF/PF – MIA): $9,700 DraftKings, $10,800 FanDuel
Playoff Jimmy has been special. This guy is averaging 51 DraftKings points per game in this shocking playoff run. This is the most important game this team has played because they have a closeout game at home and don’t want to have to go back to NY for a Game 6. That means JB could play 45 minutes and take 25 shots, We’ve seen him score 53 and 58 DK points in his two most recent outings, which should be his floor here.
Jalen Brunson (PG – NYK): $9,000 DraftKings, $9,500 FanDuel
Brunson picked up a monster contract in the offseason, showing why he’s making so much money. The point guard played a full 48 minutes in the Knicks most recent outing, dropping 61 DraftKings points in that masterpiece. He’s likely looking at another 45-plus minutes here because NY needs him out there with Quickley sidelined. You simply can’t fade anyone this talented who might play a full 48 minutes.
GPP Targets
Klay Thompson (SG – GSW): $6,800 DraftKings, $6,000 FanDuel
Klay has been terrible the last three games, but this sharpshooter is too cheap. We’ve seen Thompson be one of the best scorers in the NBA in the past, and Golden State needs him to step up here. He should still play 40 minutes and take 20-plus shots, and can provide 40 DK points in that type of role. That’s not far off of his average recently, generating a 33-point average across his 22 outings before this three-game slide.
D’Angelo Russell (PG/SG – LAL): $6,100 DraftKings, $6,400 FanDuel
D-Lo has been one of the most inconsistent players in these playoffs, but he’s still the starting point guard for the Lakers. That role alone has earned him some decent value, scoring at least 25 DraftKings points in seven of his last nine outings. He’s also got at least 33 fantasy points in five of those and needs to step up in this home closeout game. If LA is going to finish this series here, D-Lo needs one of these big games.
Value Plays
Draymond Green (PF/C – GSW): $6,700 DraftKings, $7,000 FanDuel
Green was the catalyst in the Game 5 victory, and he’s the true leader of this team. The defensive stud has played in 13 elimination games throughout his career, averaging nearly 40 DraftKings points per game in those outings. That’s on par with what we’ve seen recently, with DG accruing a 35-point average over the last month. He’s also playing a ton of center with Kevon Looney Limited, and it’s hard to understand why he’s just $7K on both sites.
Quentin Grimes (SG/SF – NYK): $5,100 DraftKings, $5,000 FanDuel
How often do you see a $5K player who could play 48 minutes? It’s hard to believe that’s what we’re seeing with Grimes, but he didn’t come off the floor in the Game 5 win. It’s nearly impossible for a $5K player not to provide value in that type of role, scoring 28 DK points per game in that full-48. This sharpshooter has been playing with a monster workload for two months now, averaging nearly 30 DK points per game when he plays at least 36 minutes.
