Top Prospects to Stash for Fantasy Baseball

Graduates from the last Stash List: Logan Allen, Tanner Bibee, Brandon Pfaadt, Gavin Stone, Chase Silseth.

Other Debuts: Bryce Miller, Joey Ortiz, Luis Medina, Michael Busch.

1. Jordan Walker (3B/OF – STL) | ETA: May

Jordan Walker broke camp with the Cardinals after a dominant AFL and Spring Training. His bat was fine, but the defense needed work, which led to a demotion to Triple-A. He should be back up with the Cardinals soon.

2. Taj Bradley (SP – TB) | ETA: May

Taj Bradley’s demotion was quite a surprise considering he posted a 3.52 ERA with 23 strikeouts in 15.1 innings. He got optioned to Triple-A to “shift from pitching every sixth day to fifth day). It seems like service time manipulation, but Bradley will likely return soon.

3. Matthew Liberatore (SP – STL) | ETA: May

Matthew Liberatore has seen increased velocity to pair with his curveball, generating a ton of whiffs. He looks dominant, and the Cardinals’ rotation has been struggling.

4. Luis Ortiz (SP – PIT) | ETA: May

Luis Ortiz has been dominating Triple-A and has already shown he can pitch in the Majors. The Pirates need rotation help, and Ortiz should be next up.

5. Matt Mervis (1B – CHC) | ETA: May

After a rough spring and a slow start in Triple-A, Matt Mervis is mashing again. Eric Hosmer and Trey Mancini are struggling. It’s time for Mervis to get his chance.

6. Kyle Manzardo (1B – TB) | ETA: May

Kyle Manzardo is hitting the ball harder than ever and still making high-end contact. This season, he has set a new max exit velocity by nearly four mph. Manzardo is elite.

7. Christian Encarnacion-Strand (1B – CIN) | ETA: June

Christian Encarnacion-Strand has a hyper-aggressive approach but big power. He has never hit below .296 at any MILB stop despite being aggressive. Encarnacion-Strand is currently slashing .441/.486/.853 in Triple-A.

8. Endy Rodriguez (C – PIT) | ETA: June

Endy Rodriguez just hits. He has hit at every stop and developed more power last season. He is versatile and can play multiple positions, but he is good enough to be an everyday catcher with a great bat.

9. David Hamilton (2B – BOS) | ETA: June

Boston has a hot lineup, but second base has been a black hole for them. David Hamilton stole 70 bases last year in Double-A and has added a ton of power this season to pair with strong contact.

10. Ronny Mauricio (SS – NYM) | ETA: June

The Mets moving Ronny Mauricio to second base shows they are serious about him being part of the team soon. Mauricio has big power and speed and has shown an improved feel to hit this year.
