Max Fried has been cleared to begin a throwing program.

Fantasy Impact

Fried played catch on Thursday. Once he begins building up, he’ll start throwing bullpens, live BPs and making starts. He remains on track to return around the All-Star break.

Ha-Seong Kim (knee) has X-Rays negative

Padres manager Bob Melvin said X-rays on Ha-Seong Kim‘s left knee came back negative.

Fantasy Impact

Kim left Thursday’s game early after fouling a ball off his left knee. Melvin called Kim “doubtful” for Friday, but the hope is he avoids an IL stint. He is day-to-day right now.

Jose Alvarado (elbow) to throw BP session Saturday

Jose Alvarado will throw a bullpen session Saturday in Atlanta.

Fantasy Impact

If it goes well, Alvarado will likely throw live BP once the Phillies get to New York. The step after that would be a rehab assignment. He is on track to return to the Phillies bullpen in early June.
