Lance McCullers Jr. (forearm) tosses from flat ground Sunday
Lance McCullers Jr. (forearm) played catch and tossed from flat ground Sunday, per Astros’ manager Dusty Baker.
Fantasy Impact
McCullers was scheduled to throw a bullpen Sunday, but Baker said the change of plans should not be considered a setback. The veteran starter will continue to work out in Houston as he attempts to work his way back from a forearm strain that has caused him to miss all of 2023.

Justin Turner (knee) remains out of the Boston lineup
Justin Turner (knee) will not start for the Red Sox Sunday against the Padres.
Fantasy Impact
Turner continues to nurse a sore left knee that he injured Friday night. Turner should be considered day-to-day and could return to the lineup Monday against the Angels.
Jesse Garcia
Julio Urias (hamstring) placed on IL
Julio Urias has been placed on the 15-day IL due to a left hamstring strain.
Fantasy Impact
Urias had a tough outing in his last start, allowing six earned runs in three innings to the Cardinals, and it’s possible that this injury had something to do with it. It’s unclear who will replace Urias in the rotation, but the Dodgers will need to add some reinforcements with Dustin May out as well.
