Fantasy Baseball Closer News & Notes

Andres Munoz (shoulder) resumed a throwing program. He is expected to throw a bullpen session this weekend and could start a rehab assignment soon after if all goes well. Sewald will remain the primary closer in the Mariners bullpen as Munoz aims a potential return in June.

Fairbanks was activated off the injured list earlier this week. It is possible he takes back the clear closer role in the Rays bullpen, but Jason Adam should continue to also hold a high leverage role.

Puk had appeared to take over the closer role in the Marlins bullpen, but he landed on the IL due to a left elbow injury. Floro has taken over the closer role and has recorded three saves in the past week.

We are starting to see the Cardinals turn around as a team, but Helsley has still only recorded one save in the past week. He remains the clear closer for St. Louis nonetheless and the save chances should eventually come around if they continue to win games.
