Injury Report
Core Plays
Anthony Davis (PF/C – LAL): $10,900 DraftKings, $11,400 FanDuel
The Lakers are making a late-season push, and the play of AD is a significant reason why. The big man has scored at least 57 DraftKings points in nine of his last 16 games, generating a 54-point average in that span. They’ve been force-feeding him the ball since LeBron returned, taking at least 20 shots in four of his last five outings. Facing Utah should keep him rolling, with the Jazz posting a 25th OPRK against opposing big men.
Brandon Ingram (SF/PF – NOP): $9,300 DraftKings, $9,900 FanDuel
The Pelicans are another team making a late push, and Ingram is the one carrying them. He’s flirting with a 35 percent usage rate with Zion Williamson off the floor, scoring at least 41 DK points in 10 straight games. BI is also providing a 49-point average in that span, doing more playmaking than at any point in his career. Sacramento is a sensational matchup, too, ranked 28th in points allowed.
Fred VanVleet (PG/SG – TOR): $8,200 DraftKings, $8,600 FanDuel
It’s hard to believe that FVV is still sitting around $8,000. The former All-Star has been outstanding since the break, scoring at least 31 DraftKings points in 30 of his last 31 games. The guard is also generating a 46-point average in that span, scoring at least 53 DK points in nine of those! One of those ceiling games could be in play against Charlotte, surrendering the third-most fantasy points to opposing guards. When they played a few days ago, FVV finished with 63 fantasy points!
Cash Game Considerations
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (PG – OKC): $10,000 DraftKings, $10,600 FanDuel
SGA is trying to get this team into the playoffs. It’s a goal that no one thought was possible, but this guard has scored at least 41 DK points in 32 of his last 33 games. He’s posting a 52-point average in that span, leading this club in almost every offensive statistic. You know he’ll be pumped to play the Warriors, with Golden State owning a 27th OPRK against opposing guards. He’s scored at least 49 DK points in two of their three meetings this year.
Kevin Durant (PF – PHX): $8,900 DraftKings, $9,500 FanDuel
It’s bizarre to see KD sitting below $10,000 on both sites. This perennial All-Star has been hampered by injuries all year, but he’s played at least 33 minutes in three of his last four games. That means the minute’s restriction has been lifted, allowing Durant to post a 45-point average in that span. That’s been his floor in the past, and it’s all you can ask for from a $9K player. This is the best possible matchup, with the Spurs sitting last in both points allowed and defensive efficiency.
Jakob Poeltl (C – TOR): $6,500 DraftKings, $6,900 FanDuel
This is some more pricing that I don’t understand. The big man has scored at least 31 DK points in all but two games since joining the Raptors. He’s also registering a 37-point average with his new club, seeing a massive boost in playing time. This per-minute stud should never be this cheap in a 30-minute role, especially since he faces a Charlotte team surrendering the most fantasy points to opposing centers.
GPP Targets
Nick Richards (C – CHA): $5,500 DraftKings, $5,200 FanDuel
We’re going to go by the word of the Hornets, which is a dangerous proposition. They said they’d rotate their three centers every three games, so it’s time for Mark Williams to rest. Richards has been tasked to start when Williams has been out, averaging over 30 fantasy points per game in that expanded role. That’s no guarantee, but Richards would be one of the best per-dollar plays if Williams does end up sitting. Keep an eye on the injury reports for that news!
John Collins (PF – ATL): $5,100 DraftKings, $5,400 FanDuel
Collins saw a massive price drop along with his production a month back, but he’s been great for a few weeks now. The big man has scored at least 23 DK points in eight of his last nine games, averaging over 30 fantasy points per game in those eight outings. That’s absurd from such an affordable player, but we’ve seen JC sit in the $7K price range for the majority of his career.
JT Thor (PF – CHA): $4,600 DraftKings, $4,800 FanDuel
The Hornets are in the middle of a tank, but Thor looks like one of the primary beneficiaries. The big man has played at least 34 minutes in two of his last three games. He’s also got a 29-point gem in that span and needs to do more with Hayward, Ball, Rozier, Washington, and Oubre all expected to miss this game. Toronto is a terrifying matchup, but it doesn’t matter when considering this price tag and workload.
Value Plays
Kelly Olynyk (PF/C – UTA): $6,500 DraftKings, $6,600 FanDuel
Big O could be in for a big game. It looks like Utah will be without Sexton, Clarkson, Markkanen, and Kessler, leaving Olynyk as one of the only playmakers left. He was already stepping up since the Conley and Vanderbilt trades, averaging nearly 35 DK points per game since then. That already makes him way too cheap below $7,000, and he’d be nearly impossible to fade if all of those guys sit. The Lakers are a wonderful matchup, too, with LA ranked fourth in pace and 20th in total defense.
Drew Eubanks (C – POR): $5,800 DraftKings, $6,400 FanDuel
This is the second straight season where Eubanks has developed into a DFS darling late in the year. He’s been the starting center since Jusuf Nurkic was ruled out, averaging 27 DK points per game in this expanded role. He’s also scored at least 28 fantasy points in five of his last six outings, and it’s tough for Portland to pull him off the floor with the whole starting lineup sitting.
James Wiseman (C – DET): $5,400 DraftKings, $5,700 FanDuel
Wiseman has already stepped into an expanded role since being acquired from Detroit, but he’s had to battle Marvin Bagley for touches. That’s big news because Bagley is expected to miss this game. That means Wiseman should be locked into 15 shots and 30 minutes as the starting center. That’s awesome since this former top pick has a 29-point average over his last 13 outings, which should be his floor since Stewart and Bagley are both sidelined.
Advantageous Pricing
- Scottie Barnes (SF – TOR): $7,300 DraftKings, $8,500 FanDuel
- Brook Lopez (C – MIL): $7,000 DraftKings, $8,200 FanDuel
- Jordan Goodwin (PG – WAS): $4,000 DraftKings, $5,200 FanDuel
- Jalen Suggs (PG – ORL): $4,100 DraftKings, $5,300 FanDuel
- Jalen Duren (C – DET): $5,200 DraftKings, $6,700 FanDuel
- Mikal Bridges (SF – BKN): $8,300 DraftKings, $9,400 FanDuel
- Clint Capela (C – ATL): $6,000 DraftKings, $7,500 FanDuel
- Onyeko Okongwu (C – ATL): $4,900 DraftKings, $6,500 FanDuel
- De’Aaron Fox (PG – SAC): $7,700 DraftKings, $9,100 FanDuel
- Austin Reaves (SG – LAL): $7,200 DraftKings, $6,000 FanDuel
- Deandre Ayton (C – PHX): $6,200 DraftKings, $7,300 FanDuel
