News and notes:
As of April 13, Hader, Romano, Holmes, and Bednar are tied for the lead league with four saves.
With Munoz (shoulder) placed on the injured list last week, we’ve seen Sewald take over as the clear primary closer in the Mariners bullpen.
It appears the Twins are leaning toward Duran as the clear primary closer. They still have Jorge Lopez who could mix in at times, but Duran has three saves early this season and appears to have the clear edge as the closer for Minnesota.
Minter and Johnson remain the current closers in their respective bullpens with Raisel Iglesias (shoulder) and Daniel Bard (anxiety) on the injured list for the Braves and Rockies.
