Dynasty Rookie Rankings (2023 Fantasy Football)
Tier 1
- Bijan Robinson
Analysis: Robinson is in a class of his own. He could easily get top-15 draft capital in the NFL Draft. He’s a locked and loaded three-down workhorse.
Tier 2
- Jahmyr Gibbs
- Zach Charbonnet
Analysis: Gibbs is a tier below Robinson. Gibbs likely goes in round two of the NFL Draft. His trump card is his pass-game utility. He should be a reception machine from Day 1. Charbonnet is a better pure rusher than Gibbs, but his pass game skills aren’t close to Gibbs. Charbonnet could sneak into the second round of the NFL Draft, but he’s probably better viewed at this point as a third-round guy. Charbonnet has climbed over Gibbs in my latest rankings update, but I view them both in the same tier.
Tier 3
Analysis: Each of these players has three-down potential. Spears, McIntosh, and Hull, are all plus receivers. Bigsby is a tough runner with pass-pro chops, so he could garner pass-game snaps and work due to those intangibles. Johnson has underrated pass pro and receiving skills.
Tier 4
Analysis: This is the early down 1A complement tier. Each of these backs has pass-game warts that could limit their upside. They are all more scheme-specific backs, too, with some operating better in zone or gap schemes.
