This is an interesting slate to break down. There were a handful of players I loved before even looking at prices, and I was still floored to see what these DFS sites came up with regarding salary. There are a few obvious spots that everyone will be in on, but we’ll save those guys for the cash game section. With that in mind, let’s look at the schedule and odds!

Injury Report
Core Plays
Joel Embiid (C – PHI): $11,500 DraftKings, $11,800 FanDuel
We’re slightly worried about recommending Embiid after playing on Monday, but he’s an elite option as long as he suits up. The big man has scored at least 38 DraftKings points in all 51 games this year, averaging nearly 60 DK points per game. That becomes his floor in a matchup with Minnesota, who play at the fastest pace in the NBA. He’s faced them three times over the last three years, scoring at least 55 fantasy points in all of them.
Julius Randle (PF/C – NYK): $9,900 DraftKings, $10,000 FanDuel
It’s incredible just how good this big man has been. Randle has scored at least 38 DraftKings points in 42 straight games, generating a 49-point average in that span. That’s no surprise when you consider his role, playing 38 minutes a night while attempting 20 shots a game. As long as he has that sort of opportunity, Randle should roll a 26th-ranked Hornets defense. In their last matchup, Randle registered 50 DK points.
Desmond Bane (SG/SF – MEM): $7,700 DraftKings, $8,200 FanDuel
The Ja Morant situation is embarrassing for Memphis, but this is an excellent opportunity for Bane to take over this offense. With the All-Star off the floor this year, Bane has a 28 percent usage rate, averaging 1.3 DK points per minute. In the five games that Bane has played without Ja, he’s totaling a 41-point average while scoring at least 46 fantasy points in three of those. We’re certainly not worried about him facing a lackluster Lakers defense, with Bane scoring at least 37 fantasy points in both of their matchups this year.
Cash Game Considerations
Anthony Davis (PF/C – LAL): $10,800 DraftKings, $11,500 FanDuel
AD can be the best player in the NBA when he’s right, and he will have to play like that with LeBron James out. With LBJ off the floor this year, Davis has a 34 percent usage rate, averaging 1.6 DK points per minute. That’s evident in his recent form, scoring at least 51 DraftKings points in six of his last seven games. Memphis can be a menacing matchup, but AD accrued 61 DK points in their previous matchup.
Tyus Jones (PG – MEM): $4,900 DraftKings, $7,500 FanDuel
Jones is one of the best backup point guards in the NBA, and he will be in everyone’s lineup here. Tyus tallied 61 DK points in the first game since Ja’s suspension and has always gone nuts when given this opportunity. He’s scored at least 34 DK points in nine of his 10 starts for Morant, averaging 42 fantasy points per game in that expanded role. He could be in line for one of those against LA, allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing point guards.
Gordon Hayward(SG/SF – CHA): $6,400 DraftKings, $6,700 FanDuel
Why hasn’t Hayward seen a massive price bump? This guy is playing his best basketball in a few years, scoring at least 23 DraftKings points in 11 straight games. He’s also got at least 27 DK points in eight of his last nine outings, providing a 36-point average in that span. This could be his floor from here on out because we expect Hayward to see a bump in minutes, shot attempts, and usage with LaMelo Ball out for the remainder of the season. In his one matchup with NY, Hayward has 38 DK points if you need any more incentive.
GPP Targets
Mitchell Robinson (C – NYK): $4,900 DraftKings, $6,600 FanDuel
This $4,900 price tag on DraftKings is silly. The big man has scored at least 30 DK points in five of six games since returning from a hand injury. Most importantly, he played 44 minutes in the most recent game and looks locked into one of those monster Tom Thibodeau timeshares. The matchup with Charlotte is the best part of this, though, with the Hornets surrendering the most fantasy points to opposing centers.
Dennis-schroder.php” class=”fp-player-link fp-id-2780″ target=”_blank”>Dennis Schroder (PG – LAL): $6,200 DraftKings, $6,400 FanDuel
We’ve seen Schroder play at a $7K level in the past, and LA will need that from him going forward. Now that Russell Westbrook is out of town and LeBron is sidelined, Schroder should play 35 minutes and be the primary ball-handler for this team. That’s allowed Dennis the Menace to score at least 24 DK points in eight of his last 10 games while posting a 30-point average in that span. He’s also lashed a 50-point upside on numerous occasions this year.
Cameron Johnson (SG/SF – BKN): $5,900 DraftKings, $6,000 FanDuel
Johnson has become one of the focal points of this Brooklyn offense since the blockbuster Kevin Durant trade. CJ has scored at least 29 DraftKings points in five straight games, averaging 36 fantasy points per game in those outings. as long as he’s playing 30-35 minutes and taking 15 shots a night. Johnson is due to a $1,000 price bump. Houston is as good as it gets from a matchup perspective, with the Rockets ranked 27th in points allowed and 29th in defensive efficiency.
Value Plays
Xavier Tillman (PF/C – MEM): $5,400 DraftKings, $5,700 FanDuel
This Memphis team has been mauled over the last few weeks, losing Steven Adams, Brandon Clarke, and Morant. The first two absences make Tillman a tantalizing option, scoring at least 26 DraftKings points in five of his last six games. That’s all you can ask for from a sub-$6K player, and he should keep it going against a 25th-ranked Lakers defense.
Delon Wright (PG/SG – WAS): $5,000 DraftKings, $5,900 FanDuel
Wright has always been a good fantasy producer in limited minutes, but he’s tough to fade as a starting point guard. He’s earned that role with Monte Morris injured, averaging 33 DK points per game across his last seven outings. He’s also got 51 and 38 DK points in two of his last three outings, and that sort of upside is absurd from such an affordable player. Facing Detroit’s disastrous defense makes Wright even more enticing, with the Pistons ranked 28th in defensive efficiency and 29th in points allowed.
Austin Reaves (SG/SF – LAL): $4,100 DraftKings, $5,100 FanDuel
Reaves has gained a ton of popularity with his schoolboy look, but this kid can ball. The young winger has scored at least 27 DK points in three of his last four games. He’s always been better when LeBron has been out, and we have to assume his role will continue to rise with the superstar sidelined. If you get 27 DraftKings points from a $4,100 player, you’ve stumbled into one of the best values out there!
