Dynasty Rookie Draft Profile: Gervon Dexter Sr.
Gervon Dexter Sr. Dynasty Rookie Draft Outlook
Dexter is one of the more athletically gifted IDLs in this class, and it shows in his film. At 6-foot-6, 300 lbs, he can absolutely maul blockers in front of him and get to the passer quickly, and he has the speed to track down the QB once he gets there. Dexter’s size can be a hindrance on occasion if he gets too high in his stance, he’ll lose leverage and get washed out of the play. Dexter needs to be coached up on nuance in hand placement and knowing his assignment because right now, he relies on winning with his size and speed, and that won’t cut it at the next level.

Gervon Dexter Sr. 2023 NFL Draft Outlook
An outstanding physical specimen who has all the size and power in the world, traits which allow him to hold the point of attack in the run game and collapse the pocket with his bull rush. Plays with surprising discipline for a younger player, although he still needs to improve his hand usage and develop a more diverse rush approach, as doing so would allow him to be a more consistent playmaker. May not be a fit for all schemes, but has prototypical two-gap nose tackle traits.
