Derick Hall Dynasty Rookie Draft Outlook

Hall is a fun watch, he has a high motor and a really quick first step that gets him upfield quickly and in a QB’s face. Hall was yet another Edge Rusher that was a team leader and he puts that work in the weight room too; dude is shredded. Hall can play a little ‘stiff’ or upright which makes him lose ground when the ball is run his way and if he doesn’t beat the OT off the line he doesn’t have enough bend to make a proper move. I’ll bet on Hall, he obviously has an incredible work ethic, and getting him to the next level without a coaching carousel like he had at Auburn should help him develop.

Derick Hall 2023 NFL Draft Outlook

Hall is one of the most pro-ready edge defenders in this year’s class, combining a thick build, excellent functional strength, and contact balance. He can either bull-rush or rip his way into the backfield, traits that could allow him to contribute early in his career. Hall may not have quite as high of a ceiling as some of the other edge defenders in the class but should be able to carve out a long, productive career modeled on players like Brandon Graham, LaMarr Woodley, and Tamba Hali.
