Dynasty Rookie Draft Profile: Luke Musgrave
Luke Musgrave Dynasty Rookie Draft Outlook
Luke Musgrave is a chain-mover tight end. He does have enough athleticism to threaten downfield up the seam, but he’s not much of a threat after the catch.
Musgrave is an average to below-average blocker at this point. His play strength shows up in blocking and his routes. He can be pushed off his route by physical linebackers. He can hold his spot in blocking on some reps, but don’t expect him to be utilized as a lead blocker or road grader at the next level.

Luke Musgrave 2023 NFL Draft Outlook
Musgrave is one of the more intriguing tight ends in the class from a physical/athletic standpoint, offering an impressive combination of size, length, physicality, competitiveness and speed. However, he is mostly potential at this point, with inconsistent technique as a blocker and issues with drops in the passing game. He has starting-caliber tools that could allow him to slip ahead of some of the more productive, polished tight ends in the class if his knee checks out medically.
Projection: Round 3-4
– Matthew Jones
