Dynasty Rookie Draft Profile: Brian Branch
Brian Branch Dynasty Rookie Draft Outlook
Motor, instincts, and tackling ability are the blend of the best Safety in this class. Branch is really a Nickel LB as he plays close to the line, disrupts the run game, and covers the Slot WR. Branch can do it all, and the only hole I really saw in his game is that he can be blocked if a bigger WR gets the clamps on him. I think there is still room for improvement with Branch, too, as he rounds out his instincts. He’s by far the best safety in this draft and will go in the 1st round.

Brian Branch 2023 NFL Draft Outlook
A polished, pro-ready defensive back who seemingly does everything well, with excellent technique and diagnostic skills which should allow him to make contributions early in his pro career, he’s rightly regarded as one of the safest defensive picks in the class, although his role in college, mostly having played the “Star” nickel position in Nick Saban’s defense, didn’t involve too much high coverage, so depending on which team drafts him, there may be some projection required. As teams in the modern league play predominantly in sub packages, looks likely to be one of the first forty or so picks off the board on draft day.
