After a relatively quiet Friday night in DFS, Saturday presents us with a full nine-game main slate, and even some afternoon action! The big news is that Luka Doncic is already out, so there will be some big fallout from that when building DFS lineups. Follow me on twitter @jac3600 for all things DFS!

Let’s take a look at the best plays for today’s NBA contests.
TOP PLAY
Jayson Tatum, BOS ($11,100 DK/$11,200 FD)
There are several enticing plays at the top, but Jayson Tatum takes the cake as the premier spend-up option tonight. Over the past five games, Tatum has averaged 41.8 minutes per game and with a 32.8% usage rate and 38.5% assist rate, and Marcus Smart will be out once again. The Lakers SHOULD see a defensive improvement with the return of Anthony Davis, but this is still a prime spot for Tatum as LA ranks first in pace and 21st in defensive efficiency.

CASH PICKS
Chris Paul, PHX ($7900 DK/$8100 FD)
It’s been a tumultuous, injury-filled season for Chris Paul, but he’s back now and filling the stat sheets as usual. Since returning from injury, Paul has double-doubled in all three games, while playing 34.3 MPG. Devin Booker and Cameron Payne remain out of the Suns lineup, which should stabilize Paul’s minutes floor and high rates. He also gets the nuts matchup tonight, facing a Spurs squad that has given up the third most FPPG to opposing points guards and ranks dead last in team defensive efficiency.
Spencer Dinwiddie, DAL ($7400 DK/$8000 FD)
The sites did a pretty decent job of pricing Dinwiddie up since the news of Doncic sitting dropped yesterday. However, it’s still not enough given the role he should be looking at, as well as the matchup. Dinwiddie sees a staggering 7.7% usage increase with Doncic off the court, and averages eight more DK points per game. He also is sporting a 45.6% assist rate, and Utah ranks 29th in defensive efficiency against opposing guards.
VALUE PLAYS
Tim Hardaway, DAL ($5900 DK/$5300 FD)
A great value on DK and a virtual lock on FD, Tim Hardaway is another Mav that you’re going to want cash exposure to. Hardaway played 40 minutes the other night when Doncic went down, and his 6.4% usage rate increase is second on the team only to Spencer Dinwiddie.
Dwight Powell, DAL ($3800 DK/$4900 FD)
It’s Mavericks night on Saturday, and you shouldn’t hesitate to have 3+ of them in your cash lineups, even on a nine-game slate. Dwight Powell has played 33+ minutes in three of his last four games with Christian Wood off the court, and now Lord Doncic will take his league-leading usage rate to the sideline as well. Powell’s minutes floor is clear right now, and Utah has allowed the second most FPPG to opposing centers.
