Fantasy Football Injury Updates

Antonio Gibson (knee/ankle) sidelined in practice Wednesday

Antonio Gibson was sidelined in practice on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

Gibson is likely going to miss a second straight game to close the season on Sunday against the Cowboys. Brian Robinson also missed practice, so it is possible Jonathan Williams starts for the Commanders this week.

Justin Fields (hip) ruled out for Week 18

Matt Eberflus said Justin Fields came in Monday morning with a sore hip and he had an MRI that shows a strain. He has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Vikings.

Fantasy Impact

Nathan Peterman will start in his absence. Fields 2022 season ends having thrown for 2,242 yards and 17 touchdowns to 11 interceptions. He also rushed for 1,143 yards on the ground, coming just short of Lamar Jackson’s record back in 2019 with 1,206 yards on the ground.

Brian Robinson Jr. sidelined in practice Wednesday

Brian Robinson Jr. missed practice on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

It is not clear what injury Robinson is dealing with. The Commanders have nothing to play for, so there is no guarantee he plays. With Antonio Gibson also banged up, Jonathan Williams could see the start if they’re both sidelined.

Lamar Jackson (knee) misses practice Wednesday

Lamar Jackson remained sidelined in practice on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

“I don’t know,” John Harbaugh said earlier in the week on if Jackson will practice this week. He remains day-to-day for the time being ahead of Sunday’s game against the Bengals.
