Quarterback

Russell Wilson (DEN) – 47% Rostered

After a couple of weeks without Wilson’s cooking, it’s almost like he’ll be a welcome return to the team this weekend, and in Week 17 the Broncos play the Chiefs. The last time those two teams played Wilson had his best fantasy performance of the season with his first three passing touchdown performance of the year. I wouldn’t advocate starting Wilson unless you have to, but if you’re still in the hunt he’s worth grabbing in case anything happens to your QB1.

Brock Purdy (SF) – 35% Rostered

In three games where Purdy has played the majority of snaps, he has thrown for two touchdowns in every game and scored at least 18 fantasy points. In Week 17 the Niners take on the hopeless Raiders defense which has allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.

Running Back

Tyler Allgeier (ATL) – 48% Rostered

This week, Allgeier is in for a tough matchup against a Ravens run defense that looks dominant with Roquan Smith involved. Next week, however, the Falcons play the Cardinals and whichever backup quarterback they trot out. The Cardinals have allowed the third-most fantasy points to running backs and with Allgeier seeing a large volume of carries now Caleb Huntley is injured, he could make for a great play.

Zack Moss (IND) – 42% Rostered

With Jonathan Taylor leaving the game against the Vikings, Moss out-carried Deon Jackson 24 to 13 and forced four missed tackles. It remains to be seen if that trend continues but it is worth picking up Moss for this weekend and seeing what his usage is like ahead of a Week 17 matchup with the Giants who allow the fifth-most fantasy points to running backs.

Khalil Herbert (CHI) – 41% Rostered

The Bears have played four games since Khalil Herbert went to IR and David Montgomery has done nothing to warrant having the most touches going forward. Despite playing more games Montgomery has just 50 more rushing yards than Herbert and has just two big runs on the season compared to Herbert’s six.

Wide Receiver

Isaiah McKenzie (BUF) – 39% Rostered

It has been an up-and-down year for McKenzie who hasn’t been overly consistent but he has had at least five targets in his last four games and occasionally has big games. In Week 17 the Bengals travel to Buffalo for what shapes up to be a potential shoot out and fantasy managers should be looking for any way to get access to that game. The Bengals have allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers and whilst the defense has been good, the Bills shouldn’t be afraid of throwing on it.

Jameson Williams (DET) – 28% Rostered

Another wide receiver with a favorable Week 17 matchup is Williams who will face the Bears passing defense. The Bears have allowed 9.7 air yards per target, which is the sixth-highest in the league. Williams has been slowly brought along since his Week 13 debut but this matchup looks good for him with the Lions at home in the dome and chasing a playoff spot.

Richie James (NYG) – 16% Rostered

In Week 17, James will face a Colts defense who have allowed the fifth-most fantasy point to opposing wide receivers. James has filled in well in the slot for the Giants in a depleted receiving room, and in the last four games has 23 targets. James’s 81% catch rate is the highest in the league, amongst wide receivers with 35 or more catches.

Tight End

Hayden Hurst (CIN) – 33% Rostered

It has been a quiet but unspectacular season for Hurst, averaging the 15th most fantasy points per game at tight end. Hurst’s 4.0 receptions per game is the ninth-most amongst the position and in Week 17 will face the Bills in a potential shootout.

Trey McBride (ARI) – 9% Rostered

It hasn’t been a breakout year for McBride. He sat behind Zach Ertz for much of the season and had seven games without a catch. McBride has been targeted 11 times in the last two games, which is as he had been all season before that point. Trace McSorley is the quarterback for at least this week and he comes to Arizona after multiple years in a Ravens offense that targeted the tight ends ofteBucs’t’s possible McBride has a good Week 16 against the Bucs defense, who allow the ninth-most fantasy points to tight ends.

Defense

Seattle Seahawks – 30% Rostered

The Seahawks play the Jets in Week 17 and it remains to be seen which quarterback the Jets will play with it seeming unlikely that Zach WilsonSeahawks’e field again. Whichever quarterback it is, the Seahawks defense is a good play in that spot.

Detroit Lions – 9% Rostered

In Week 17 the Lions play the Bears in Detroit and their defense has been resurgent in recent weeks. With Justin Fields having very few good players to target it seems likely the Lions could turn the ball over.
