Week 15 is here, and although the season is closer to being over than beginning, we have some weeks left to take home some significant winnings for our bank account. Unfortunately, this slate is broken apart, with three games being played Saturday, which limits our player pool for Sunday. Therefore, stacking and playing the correct game will be the key to winning this slate. With that said, let us show you which stacks you should focus on within your lineups.
Justin Herbert + Keenan Allen + Mike Williams + Derrick Henry (QB+WR+WR LAC/ RB TEN)
Is this a massive stack? Yes.
Do I believe in this game this much that I would lean heavily into it for my build? Also yes.
First, we focus on the Chargers’ side of the ball. In the last three games, Justin Herbert has had 47 attempts, another 47 attempts and 51 attempts. They are throwing the ball right now, and now they get an opponent who struggles in the passing attack. The Titans allow the most passing attempts this season, the second-most yards and the second-most passing touchdowns. With the run defense of the Titans being as good as they are, combined with Ekeler struggling to rush the ball, this game narrative and script leans toward Herbert slinging the rock.
Keenan Allen has had 14 targets in each of his last two games. He also has over 88 yards in three of four games and two touchdowns in four games. We know Herbert trusts Keenan Allen, and Allen is finally healthy and back. He has a high floor with a booming potential. However, Mike Williams is my slate breaker of the week. At the moment, his rostership is low, sitting around five percent.
Things could change, but you have to have Mike Williams in your lineup at that price. Mike Willimas came back and only played 65% of the snaps last week. He received six targets, six receptions, 116 yards, and a touchdown in that smaller percentage. We have another week back from injury, and he should see even more time on the field.
We finally move to the Tennessee Titans’ side of the ball with Derrick Henry. The wide receiver room is decimated in Tennessee, and that’s not where we want to attack the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers are the 25th-ranked rushing DVOA in the NFL and are tied for fourth most DK fantasy points per game (FPPG) to the running back position.
Henry averages 17 carries a game, which gives you the volume-based safe floor while facing this juicy matchup for running backs. His stock only rises as we learned this week that Dontrell Hillard would miss this game. So we must recognize him on this slate with the backfield leaning toward 98% opportunity for Derrick Henry.
Jalen Hurts + DeVonta Smith (QB+WR PHI)
What is there to say about Jalen Hurts? The man is an MVP candidate for a reason. Hurts has had only five games with less than two passing touchdowns, and even in those games, he still scored on the ground. In his last three games, he has scored a total of nine touchdowns. Hurts has also recorded six games with double-digit rushing attempts and 93 carries inside the red zone. You can’t ask for more as a DFS player. As for the stack option, you wouldn’t be wrong to go with AJ Brown.
However, Devonta Smith has been a great play since Dallas Goedert‘s injury. Smith has five straight games of eight or more targets, four of those five have had five or more receptions, and he has three touchdowns in that timeframe. So, as long as Goedert is out, you should continue to take the cheaper price point and lower rostership on Smith. Smith has five straight games of eight or more targets, four of those five have five or more receptions, and he has three touchdowns in that timeframe.
Miles Sanders + Eagles’ Defense (RB+DEF PHI)
Miles Sanders has five touchdowns in his last three games and 11 overall this season, making Sanders a great play on this slate.
Sanders would be a pivot move off of the Jalen Hurts rostership. As pivots go, Sanders is one of the best ones on the slate. He has two games in his last three with over 140 rushing yards. He has also recently seen a few targets per game, which was an issue beginning of the year. The best part of this play is facing the Chicago Bears’ defense. This Bears’ defense is terrible across the board since they traded their stars on the defensive side of the ball.
However, it’s been putrid when it relates to running backs. They allow the fourth most DraftKings FPPG to RB and the second most rushing touchdowns. This defense allows the sixth most rushing yards attached to the seventh most attempts. Sanders becomes a solid volume play, and even though Hurts has 93 carries inside the red zone, Miles Sanders has 85 attempts. If the Eagles are to score on the ground, it will have to involve Sanders throughout the day.
As for the Eagles’ defense, this one is simple. Justin Fields is coming off an injury and feeling under the weather this week. He is missing Darnell Mooney and Chase Claypool while facing the Eagles’ defense that shuts down opposing quarterbacks while leading the league in turnovers.
Our motto is the same as always:
Sacks + Pressures= Points in turnovers
