Happy Saturday! We’re about two weeks away from Christmas (and its five-game NBA extravaganza), so let’s look to get a little extra holiday cheer in our pockets this weekend. There are seven games on the docket tonight, and some BIG status news we’re awaiting. Donovan Mitchell and Kevin Durant are right at the top of that list. Good luck tonight!

TOP PLAYS
Nikola Jokic (PF/C – DEN): $11,500 DK/$11,500 FD
Given the recent price tags of Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jokic feels positively cheap at 11.5k. There have already been SIX instances in which Jokic has fallen one rebound or assist shy of a triple-double, and he’s still second in that category so far this season. The matchup is excellent, as the Jazz really struggle to defend the paint.
Kyrie Irving (PG/SG – BKN): $8700 DK/$8600 FD
The way Irving has been playing (56.5 DK PPG the last two games), he’s honestly fine to play no matter what. Nets’ coach Jacque Vaughn stated yesterday that Durant is “uncertain to play” today. Durant’s absence would vault Kyrie into top-overall-play status. Without Durant on the court, Irving has a 37.5-percent usage rate, which is a significant boost. Throw in a matchup against Tyrese Haliburton and the ceiling is monstrous. Remember, Ben Simmons is also out and Nic Claxton is iffy.
CASH PLAYS
Jarrett Allen (C – CLE): $6600 DK/$6900 FD
Fouls and turnovers were the death of Allen’s box score in a smash spot Friday night, but his price also didn’t move. Tonight, he gets another extremely positive matchup against OKC. The Thunder rank 28th in defensive efficiency against centers and dead last in rebounding rate. Allen is fine as a standalone play. He would receive an additional boost if Mitchell were to sit again.
John Wall (PG – LAC): $6100 DK/$5900 FD
Wall is a tough sell for cash since he has yet to top 28 minutes in a game this year. However, this just might be the night when all the stars align for him to get to 30. Reggie Jackson and Norman Powell are both sitting. Terence Mann is also questionable with a concussion. Wall has certainly had his ups and downs after returning from a two-year injury (and many others in his career), but he’s averaging 1.19 fantasy points per minute and Washington is on the second game of a back-to-back.
VALUE PLAYS
Caris LeVert (SG/SF – CLE): $4400 DK/$5000 FD
This pick is dependent on Mitchell sitting again, but, if he does, LeVert is a cash lock and someone you can be overweight on in GPPs as well at this price tag. LeVert’s usage boost is negligible with Mitchell off the court, but his assist rate rises to 26.8 percent. He also played 37 minutes last night and averaged over a fantasy point per minute, which is far more than you can typically ask for at a punt price.
Seth Curry (PG/SG – BKN): $3800 DK/$4200 FD
Irving is the obvious play if Durant sits, but Curry is also an unsung hero for this Nets squad in that situation. He’s basically free on both sites. With Durant off the court, Curry sees an increase of over five DK PPG and a 5.5-percent usage rate boost. The Nets will need someone else to create shots besides Kyrie. Curry has a great matchup, as Indiana struggles to contain the three-pointer.
