Monkey Knife Fight Advice: Week 16 (2022 Fantasy Football)

Welcome to Monkey Knife Fight. Monkey Knife Fight is one of the more intriguing entrants in the DFS arena. Instead of the traditional salary cap based contests, Monkey Knife Fight allows DFS players to put their fantasy football knowledge and predictive powers to the test.

They offer fantasy point and stat-based contests. Perhaps the most appealing of all of their offerings is the ‘More or Less’ contests. In these contests, you can choose whether a player will fall above or below totals for a preset combination of two to 10 players. Your win probability obviously goes down with the more players you add, but you receive an increased payout multiplier in exchange.

Since Monkey Knife Fight’s fantasy point and stat-based totals are dynamic, meaning the total, total type, and pairings change throughout the week, it is important to search for favorable and advantageous total pairings to exploit on a daily basis. Ideally, when choosing a total pairing, you want to feel extremely confident on one of the totals and feel strongly enough about the other total to proceed. This week we will take a look at two of the ‘More’ options that stood out the most for Week 16. Note that these are not locked in pairings, and may no longer be offered by the time you log in to make your picks.

Plays of the week

A.J. Brown (WR – PHI): 65.5 receiving yards
A.J. Brown has been excellent this season, averaging 5.3 receptions for 85.8 receiving yards per game. He is more inconsistent than one would like due to playing on a run-heavy team with Jalen Hurts at quarterback but finds a way to get it done more often than not. The 65.5 receiving yard line is an intriguing one for this weekend as the market has this number at 70.5, while our projection pegs him at 65.5 exactly. Brown has recorded more than 65 receiving yards in each of his last three games and in nine out of 15 games this season. He will have a tough matchup with Trevon Diggs on the other side but recorded 67 receiving yards against Dallas earlier this season, making him a strong lean to hit the More for Week 16. The Cowboys have been a middle-of-the-pack team in terms of receiving yards against this season, allowing 152.1 per game to the wide receiver position. Dallas has surrendered 66 or more receiving yards to 12 different receivers this season, including Brown himself. Minshew is going to have a lot more designed pass plays than Hurts would typically see. Tap the More for Week 16 at MonkeyKnifeFight.
Prediction: More

Miles Sanders (RB – PHI): 65.5 rushing yards
Miles Sanders continues to be incredibly inconsistent, but his peaks have been sensational. Averaging 79.3 rushing yards per game despite topping 80 yards in just six of 14 games, Sanders is the epitome of boom or bust. With that said, the 65.5 rushing yard line appears to have some value. The number is very close to the market number and falls under our projection of 71.7 rushing yards. Sanders has eclipsed 143 rushing yards in two of his last four games while failing to clear 43 in the other two. The Eagles running back has already faced Dallas this season, posting 71 rushing yards back in Week 6. Sanders should be leaned on this weekend with Jalen Hurts out and could see a season-high in carries in Gardner Minshew can help keep the game competitive. Dallas has allowed 104 rushing yards per game to the running back position this season and could be gashed by the run again if gamescript allows the Eagles to focus on the ground game. Tap the More for Sanders for Week 16.
Prediction: More

Terry McLaurin (WR – WAS): 59.5 receiving yards
Terry McLaurin, at just 59.5 receiving yards, is the type of line that jumps out at you. He is averaging 72.5 receiving yards per game on the season and has hit 60 or more yards in each of his last two games. The number is actually lower on the market at just 55.5 receiving yards but is right in line with our projection of 59.5. McLaurin has been a road warrior down the stretch of the season, topping 105 receiving yards in three of his last four road games. The numbers suggest that McLaurin should hit the More this weekend against a San Francisco 49ers defense allowing the eighth-most receiving yards per game to the position at 163.6. Gamescript and a soft pass defense put the probability squarely with the More. Click the More for McLaurin for this weekend’s late slate at MonkeyKnifeFight.
