Q. Which player outside of the top 100 in the FantasyPros flex rankings is a good sleeper start and why do you think he has upside this week?

Chris Moore (WR – HOU)
“With Texans WRs Brandin Cooks (calf) and Nico Collins (foot) both out last week, seventh-year veteran Chris Moore had a career-high 10 catches for 124 yards. Moore commanded a 40.7% target share vs. the Cowboys and finished as the WR9 for the week in half-point PPR scoring. It’s not clear whether Cooks or Collins will return this week, and there would seem to be little incentive for the 1-11-1 Texans to rush either one back into action. Moore looked good last Sunday. He hasn’t had an illustrious career, but he’s made a good living as a special teamer, and perhaps all those practices and WR meetings have turned Moore into a better pass catcher than he was with the Ravens early in his career. Don’t be surprised if Moore is once again the go-to receiver for QB Davis Mills again this Sunday when the Texans face the Chiefs, who have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to WRs.”
Pat Fitzmaurice (FantasyPros)

Isaiah Hodgins (WR – NYG)
“Hodgins has finished as the WR20 and WR21 each of the last two weeks. He’s played 80%+ of snaps and earned six targets in both games since taking over a more full-time role in the offense. Hodgins is WR79 in consensus. He’s finished better than that in all six games where he’s played more than 22% of snaps.”
Bradley Stalder (FantasyData)

Tutu Atwell (WR – LAR)
“With Baker Mayfield at quarterback, Tutu Atwell led the Rams in targets (26%, 9 targets, 35% target rate per route run) followed by Ben Skowronek (24%, 8). Atwell caught five balls for 50 yards but also saw 116 air yards as the main downfield threat. The most productive WR was Skowronek, who caught 7-of-8 targets for 89 receiving yards (including a key 32-yard gain on the game-winning drive). Skowronek also ran a route on 90% of the dropbacks (Atwell, 63%). Both guys are worth a dart throw in deeper formats, but I do prefer Atwell based on his big-play ability.”
Andrew Erickson (FantasyPros)

Tutu Atwell displayed immediate chemistry with Baker Mayfield in Week 14, catching five of nine targets for 50 yards. If we extrapolate Mayfield’s two days of practice with the Rams before that game into the full 13 days he will have by Monday Night Football, it seems like Atwell could be in line for decent volume against the Packers. Among the league’s receivers, he ranks highly in aDOT (20.0 yards), air yards per snap (3.39), and aYAC (5.8). The game script should lend itself to Mayfield airing it out (with nothing to lose), and Atwell could end up well above his WR72 ranking, especially if the frozen tundra freezes and the 23-year-old speedster flies right by his defenders. ”
Kelly Kirby (FantasyPros)

Chuba Hubbard (RB – CAR)
“Chuba Hubbard has some deep league flex appeal despite his tricky matchup versus Pittsburgh. If he gets 15 touches (18 last week), that’s enough to give him some moderate fantasy appeal. It’s more of a deep league play, but as long as this backfield is split, Hubbard is serviceable.”

Q. Which player inside the top 40 in the FantasyPros flex rankings is likely to disappoint fantasy managers this week?

DeAndre Hopkins (WR – ARI)
“An ECR of WR13 for DeAndre Hopkins seems overly optimistic. The Cardinals will have Colt McCoy at quarterback after losing Kyler Murray to a major knee injury in Week 14. With McCoy running the offense for most of Arizona’s Monday-night loss to New England, Hopkins had 7-79-0 on 11 targets. The target volume was encouraging, but Hopkins’ ceiling is probably going to be limited with McCoy at quarterback. Hopkins also has a brutal Week 15 matchup with a smothering Broncos pass defense that has allowed the fewest fantasy points to WRs this year.”
Pat Fitzmaurice (FantasyPros)

DeAndre Hopkins feels like he should be matchup-proof, but the Broncos have been the nightmare matchup for many a wideout this season. Denver ranks fifth in DVOA against No. 1 wide receivers, and Hopkins will see a steady diet of Demarri Mathis, who has yet to allow a TD this season. While the targets have remained steady whether Colt McCoy or Kyler Murray is under center, his average depth of target is only 10.1 yards with a paltry 2.9 aYAC. Hopkins is typically a solid WR1, but I see him struggling more in Week 15 and landing somewhere closer to a WR3 than his ranking (WR13) suggests.”
Kelly Kirby (FantasyPros)

Saquon Barkley (RB – NYG)
“Barkley has finished with fewer than 65 rushing yards in five of his last six games. He faces Washington, who allows the 5th fewest fantasy points to running backs on the season and ranks as the 4th toughest rushing defense matchup per Football Outsiders DVOA metric. The last time Barkley played WAS, he went 18-63 on the ground and 5-18 through the air on five targets—not quite the bastion of fantasy success.”
Bradley Stalder (FantasyData)

Zonovan Knight (RB – NYJ)
“Look, people. It’s time to wake up when it comes to this Detroit Lions’ vastly improved run defense. Because long gone are the days when any RB facing the Lions would be teed up to smash. Since Week 6, the Lions are allowing the 2nd fewest fantasy points to RBs. 72 rushing yards allowed per game (7th). 7th-fewest rushing attempts per game (19). And although Zonovan Knight is still the touch leader in the Jets backfield, the team still uses Michael Carter plenty in passing situations. Carter out-targeted Knight 6 vs. 2 and played 50% of the snaps in Week 14 to Knight’s 47% snap share.”
Andrew Erickson (FantasyPros)

Mike Evans (WR – TB)
“Mike Evans hasn’t had a double-digit Half PPR performance since Week 8. Evans also hasn’t scored a TD since Week 4. It’s Week 15, people! The playoffs are not the time to start players who are offering a low floor AND a low ceiling. ”
Joe Pisapia (FantasyPros)
