Fantasy Football Injury Updates

Patrick Mahomes II dealing with a bruised foot, still expected to practice

Patrick Mahomes called the foot issue he has simply a “bruise.”

Fantasy Impact

Mahomes still expects to practice, so it does not sound like this injury will impact his availability on Sunday against the Broncos. He just could be limited at practice all week.

Michael Carter a full participant on Wednesday

According to The Athletic’s Zack Rosenblatt, New York Jets RB Michael Carter is expected to be a full participant in practice on Wednesday ahead of Week 14

Fantasy Impact

Carter left Week 12’s contest early and missed Week 13 as he recovered from an ankle injury. In his absence, RB Zonovan Knight has taken over lead-back duties and RB James Robinson was limited in Week 13 to 11% of snaps. With QB Mike White under center, Carter’s pass-catching could make him a flex play in PPR leagues, but Knight and Robinson’s involvements make Carter harder to start if he plays.

Tua Tagovailoa (ankle) to be limited in practice, still expected to play

Tua Tagovailoa is expected to be limited in practice early in the week due to his ankle injury, which shouldn’t prevent him from playing in Week 14.

Fantasy Impact

Tagovailoa was taken off the field late in last Sunday’s loss against the 49ers when the game was already out of reach. It seems to be more of a precautionary move. He should be good to go in what could be a shootout this week against Justin Herbert and the Chargers.

Mike Williams (ankle) limited in practice Wednesday

Mike Williams (ankle) was estimated as a limited participant in practice Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

Williams was estimated as limited since the Chargers held a walkthrough. The 28-year-old receiver has played in just one game since suffering the ankle injury in Week 7. Fantasy managers will want to monitor his progress heading into Sunday night against Miami.
