Fantasy Football Injury Updates
Diontae Johnson (hip) does not practice on Thursday
Diontae Johnson (hip) did not practice on Thursday after getting in a limited session on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
It’s not a great sign when a player does less on Thursday than Wednesday, but perhaps the Steelers are just being cautious. Monitor Johnson’s progress if he’s on your roster, as he has to be considered “questionable” currently. If he does play on Sunday, Johnson will be a low-end flex option in PPR leagues as his volume has been fine, but he’s yet to score a TD in 2022.
Saquon Barkley (neck) added to the injury report Thursday
Saquon Barkley (neck) was added to the injury report and was limited in practice Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
Being added to the injury report late in the week is never a good sign. Barkley and the Giants have a major divisional matchup with the Eagles this Sunday, so not having their star running back would be a major blow. Should Barkley be unable to suit up in Week 14, Matt Breida and Gary Brightwell would see the bulk of the carries.
Leonard Fournette (foot) added to injury report Thursday
Leonard Fournette (foot) has been added to Tampa Bay’s injury report and was limited at practice on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
Fournette was a new addition to Tampa Bay’s injury report on Thursday, being listed with a foot injury of some kind. He was limited in practice, and his status for Sunday isn’t clear yet. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor news about the severity of his injury in the coming days.
Mike Williams (ankle) practices in full Thursday
Mike Williams (ankle) was a full participant in Los Angeles’ practice on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
Williams was limited in practice all week prior to Thursday, and he’s now been upgraded to full participation. He seems to be over his ankle injury, but there’s always the lingering chance that he re-injures it. He’s likely to be good to go for Week 14, and he will be an interesting flex option if he’s fully healthy against the Dolphins.
