Fantasy Football Injury Updates

Colt McCoy (head) will start against Falcons

Arizona QB Colt McCoy has cleared the concussion protocols and will start against the Falcons in Week 17.

Fantasy Impact

McCoy is set to return after missing Arizona’s Christmas Day game versus Tampa Bay. The move will relegate QB Trace McSorley back to number two duties. McCoy’s presence alone should benefit the Cardinals’ wide receivers in some fashion, especially considering stud WR DeAndre Hopkins managed just one catch on ten targets last week.

Christian Watson (hip) misses practice Wednesday

Christian Watson will not practice on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

Watson was reportedly considered day-to-day as of Tuesday. It is a super favorable matchup for him this week against the Vikings, so fantasy managers will want to keep a close eye on his status at practice on Thursday and Friday.

Nick Chubb says he will play in the Browns final two games

Nick Chubb says he’s definitely playing the last two games and never considered shutting it down due to his foot issue.

Fantasy Impact

The Browns are out of playoff contention, but Chubb should still be out on the field for his usual workhorse role for fantasy managers in the championship this week.

Antonio Gibson (knee/foot) misses practice Wednesday

Antonio Gibson was sidelined in practice on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

It was reported on Tuesday that Gibson was dealing with a sprain. He has only seen seven total touches each of the past two weeks, so Brian Robinson has taken over the backfield even with Gibson healthy. If Gibson is sidelined, Robinson would be in line for a true workhorse load this week against the Browns.
