Fantasy Football Injury Updates
Kyle Pitts (knee) undergoes knee surgery
Falcons’ TE Kyle Pitts underwent knee surgery on Tuesday and was officially ruled out for the remainder of the 2022 season.
Fantasy Impact
Pitts will now have ample time to return at full health for OTAs in 2023. His sophomore season ends on the lowest of down notes, with just a 28-356-2 receiving line. Pitts should be hoping for a QB change in 2023, which could very well happen depending on how Atlanta closes out this season. It is hard to advocate for Pitts as a strong hold in fantasy dynasty leagues, but he is still just 22 years old and a former top-five draft pick. The fantasy tight end landscape is desolate enough that he will deserve another chance next season.
Michael Carter (ankle) misses practice Wednesday, could play Sunday
Michael Carter won’t practice on Wednesday, but Robert Saleh is still hopeful he can play on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Carter remains day to day for now. He will likely have to practice in some capacity by Friday to have a chance of playing on Sunday. If he is sidelined, it’ll likely be a committee between Zonovan Knight and Ty Johnson. James Robinson could be active as well after he was a healthy scratch last week.
Dallas Goedert ‘hopeful’ to return as soon as possible
Eagles TE Dallas Goedert is no longer wearing a sling and he’s hopeful to come back from IR as soon as possible.
Fantasy Impact
Goedert is first eligible to return in Week 15 against the Bears. “I feel really good,” Goedert said. “Hopefully everything turns out the way it’s supposed to.” It sounds like barring any setbacks, he should return in a few weeks.
Aaron Rodgers (ribs, thumb) sidelined at practice Wednesday
Aaron Rodgers was sidelined at practice on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
This comes as no surprise as Rodgers is now dealing with multiple injuries. He still said he expects to play on Sunday against the Bears. His status at practice will be worth monitoring on Thursday and Friday.
