Fantasy Football Injury Updates
J.K. Dobbins out for Week 13
The Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said RB J.K. Dobbins would not be available for the team on Sunday for Week 13, but he could be in play for Week 14.
Fantasy Impact
Dobbins had returned to practice from his injury, but he won’t be activated off the injured reserve list. In his absence, the Ravens will likely continue to run RB Gus Edwards as the team’s RB1 after he paced the team in carries against the Jaguars. RB Kenyan Drake will act as the RB2 and could continue to factor in, though he played little in Week 12.
Josh Jacobs (calf) ‘hopeful’ to be ready for Week 13
Head Coach Josh McDaniels is “hopeful” that Josh Jacobs will be ready for Sunday’s game against the Chargers.
Fantasy Impact
Jacobs logged limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday, which is arguably more than what some might have expected after reports suggested early in the week he wasn’t expected to practice much. Jacobs is coming off a 33 carry game last week against the Seahawks. He would be a high-end RB1 play if healthy in another favorable matchup on Sunday against the Chargers.
Matthew Stafford ruled out for Week 13
Matthew Stafford has cleared concussion protocol, but has been ruled out for Week 13 by head coach Sean McVay.
Fantasy Impact
Stafford will be ruled out with a neck injury and John Wolford will start for the Rams against Seattle. Fantasy managers should expect Stafford’s status for the remainder of the season to remain very much in doubt.
Justin Fields off injury report, set to play Week 13
According to PFF’s Ari Meirov, QB Justin Fields is off the Chicago Bears’ injury report and is set to start for Week 13’s matchup with the Green Bay Packers.
Fantasy Impact
Fields was able to log a full practice on Thursday as he recovers from a shoulder injury that kept him out of Week 12’s contest. Fields seems to be better off than he was before and carries no injury designation against the Packers. With another full practice under his belt, a healthy Fields garners immediate consideration as a starter with his rushing upside.
