Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) expected to miss remainder of season
Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) is expected to miss the remainder of this season after suffering a broken foot in Sunday’s win over the Miami Dolphins.
Fantasy Impact
Garoppolo had to leave Sunday’s game early with a broken foot, and it’s expected to be a season-ending injury, according to HC Kyle Shanahan. Brock Purdy, a seventh-round pick in this year’s draft, took over for the veteran on Sunday and is the next quarterback up for San Francisco for the time being. This hurts the 49ers’ offense as a whole, and players like Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, and George Kittle may see a decrease in fantasy production as a result.
Tua Tagovailoa (ankle) expected to start in Week 14
Tua Tagovailoa is expected to start against the Chargers in Week 14 after suffering a minor ankle injury in a loss to the 49ers.
Fantasy Impact
Tagovailoa left the game in the late stages of the fourth quarter and the team opted to hold him out. The team does not expect the ankle injury to be a major issue moving forward. Fantasy managers should start Tagovailoa in a plus matchup against the Chargers.
Kenneth Walker III (ankle) officially out
Kenneth Walker III is officially out for the remainder of Seattle’s game against Los Angeles with an ankle injury.
Fantasy Impact
Walker exited in the first half and received condolences from teammates while sitting on the bench at the beginning of the second half. He rushed three times for 36 yards before the injury. We will update you when we have more information.
Treylon Burks (concussion) ruled out
Treylon Burks has been ruled out for the remainder of the game against Philadelphia with a concussion.
Fantasy Impact
Burks’ day will end with one catch for a 25 yard touchdown. He was injured on a helmet-to-helmet catch and will now have to work on clearing the NFL’s concussion protocol.
