Christian Watson dropped Aaron Rodgers‘ first pass (and sure TD) of the season, and his season has not improved since. The 23-year-old has seen a whopping 12 targets on the entire season, and he has been limited to only five games due to injury. After suffering a concussion in Week 8, he was limited during practice this week. So the question remains whether Watson will suit up for Green Bay’s Week 9 tilt against Detroit and, if he does, if he is worth a start for fantasy managers. Here is what we know.

Christian Watson (concussion) limited Friday, questionable for Week 9
Christian Watson (concussion) was limited in practice on Friday. Officially, he has been listed as questionable ahead of Week 9 versus the Lions.
Fantasy Impact
Watson missed Weeks 6 and 7, then logged a nine percent snap share against the Bills last Sunday. The first-round pick figures to emerge as a bigger part of the offense eventually, but for the time being, he has no appeal in redraft leagues.

What the Experts are Saying
TBD, but lean slightly towards sitting in Week 9. Concussion protocol timeline data shows high variance, but his practice progression gives him just shy of a 50% probability of being cleared. If he does get cleared, concussions don’t often negatively affect production or workload when WRs return.
