It’s hard to believe we are already in the double-digit weeks of the season. Time flies when you’re having fun. Last week was an excellent week, with Justin Fields being my biggest win, but smaller wins like Cade Otton, Josh Palmer, DeAndre Carter and Trevor Lawrence made for a good week overall. Let’s hope to repeat that success this week.

Quarterback
DraftKings
Daniel Jones (NYG) vs. HOU $5,700
Daniel Jones has appeared in my value column probably more than any other player this season, and here he is yet again. He gets a great matchup with a Texans team ranked 19th in pass-defense DVOA. Jones has six or more rushing attempts in every game this season, and the Texans are even worse against the run – ranking dead last in rush-defense DVOA on the season.
Others to Consider: Jared Goff (DET) $5,500
FanDuel
Trevor Lawrence (JAX) @ KC $7,000
Trevor Lawrence is a risky play. However, at $7k in a game where we’d expect him to throw it a ton to keep up with the potent Chiefs’ offense, I think he can put up some sneaky good fantasy points, albeit it could be in junk time. The Chiefs are 24th in pass-defense DVOA, and no team gives up more passing touchdowns per game than the Chiefs, as they give up 2.13 passing touchdowns a game on average (per FTNFantasy). Lawrence could exceed 50 attempts in this game, and while that isn’t likely to bode well for his real-life team, it can benefit his fantasy numbers.
Others to Consider: Andy Dalton (CIN) $6,800
Running Back
DraftKings
Jeff Wilson Jr. (MIA) vs. CLE $5,500
Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. are no strangers to sharing the backfield as they were both in San Francisco for a few years together, along with their head coach, the offensive coordinator for the 49ers. Even then, Wilson Jr. was the preferred passing-down option over Mostert, and things were no different in their first week together as Dolphins. Wilson had three catches to Mostert’s zero, and Wilson scored a touchdown on one of those receptions. The Browns are terrible against the run, ranking 30th in pass-defense DVOA, and they give up the seventh-most PPR points to running backs (per FTNFantasy).
Others to Consider: Khalil Herbert (CHI) $5,900
FanDuel
AJ Dillon (GB) vs. DAL $7,000
Truth be told, I didn’t like most of the value options on Fanduel this week. Forced to choose, I went with AJ Dillon based solely on the assumption that Aaron Jones either misses this game entirely or is in some way limited. Dillon has not been good this season, and this is a terrible matchup for him as the Cowboys rank third in rush-defense DVOA. However, if Dillon gets enough volume due to Jones’ injury concerns, he could pay off his relatively cheap salary. If Aaron Jones’ injury designation is gone by this Sunday, I will likely pivot to Wilson Jr.
Others to Consider: Jeff Wilson Jr. (MIA) $6,500
Wide Receiver
DraftKings
Rondale Moore (ARI) @ LAR $5,200
Rondale Moore has had eight or more targets in four of his last five games, including 10 in his last game against Seattle. The yardage totals aren’t great, and he’s only scored once all season, but on DraftKings, his PPR points at $5,200 make him worth it. The Rams are 22nd in pass-defense DVOA, and they really struggle defending the slot position, where Moore runs nearly half of his routes.
Others to Consider: George Pickens (PIT) $5,000, Wan’Dale Robinson (NYG) $4,700
FanDuel
Geroge Pickens (PIT) vs. NO $5,600
After an abysmal showing in George Pickens’s last game, which ended with zero fantasy points, I’m going to take a chance that he bounces back this week coming off his bye. The Saints are slightly better than average in pass-defense DVOA – ranking 12th – but they are without their star cornerback Marshon Lattimore, who Pickens would have likely seen a lot of. There’s also the fact that this will be the Steelers’ first week without Chase Claypool, as he was traded away before their bye week. That should open up some more targets for Pickens and help him pay off his cheap $5,600 salary.
Others to Consider: Donovan Peoples-Jones (CLE) $5,700, Chase Claypool (CHI) $5,800
Tight End
Draftkings
Kylen Granson (IND) @ LV $2,600
This choice is a product of last-man-standing. With both Mo Alie-Cox and Jelani Woods likely to miss this game, Kyle Granson becomes the only healthy tight end. Granson was seeing about 40 percent of the snaps, with Alie-cox seeing 55 percent and Woods getting about 22 percent. Granson should see upwards of 70 percent this week, and that’s probably a bit conservative. I have no idea what this team will look like under new head coach Jeff Saturday, but a tight end at $2,600 that can catch passes and will rarely leave the field, is always worth a punt.
FanDuel
Kylen Granson (IND) @ LV $4,400
Read the above write-up. I didn’t like any of the other cheap options on FanDuel, so I’m doubling down on Granson.
