Fantasy Football Injury Updates
James Conner (ribs) to be game-time decision in Week 9
James Conner, who has been out since Week 5 while dealing with injured ribs, will be a game-time decision in Week 9, per Cardinal’s HC Kliff Kingsbury.
Fantasy Impact
Conner practiced in some capacity this week, but it seems like he will be a true game-time decision. The Cardinals placed Darrel Williams on IR this week so if Conner does miss Sunday’s game against Seattle the load with fall to Eno Benjamin and Keaontay Ingram. If Conner is able to play he is a fine RB2 option in Week 9.
Keenan Allen ruled out for Week 9
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, WR Keenan Allen has been ruled out by the Los Angeles Chargers for Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.
Fantasy Impact
Allen’s absence comes after he received a post-bye week downgrade with a hamstring injury. This sets the stage for WRs Joshua Palmer and DeAndre Carter to see a lot of action in an Allen-less and Mike Williams-less Chargers offense. As well, TE Gerald Everett becomes an intriguing streaming option.
Damien Harris (illness) questionable for Week 9
Damien Harris (illness) was limited for a third consecutive practice on Friday. He is now listed as questionable heading into Week 9 against the Colts.
Fantasy Impact
Harris has clearly been relegated to the role of Rhamondre Stevenson’s backup. He rushed 11 times for 37 yards last week and also added 15 yards through the air. On a positive note, he did log a 41 percent snap share, his second-highest mark of the season. If active, he should be viewed as a fine RB3 play against Indy.
Davante Adams (illness) on track to play Sunday
Davante Adams (illness) logged another full practice session on Friday. He has been cleared to play against the Jaguars in Week 9.
Fantasy Impact
Adams is looking to bounce back after totaling three yards on a season-low 72 percent snap share last week. Fortunately, his great track record paired with a very favorable matchup propels Adams back into the WR1 tier.
