Fantasy Football Injury Updates

Cooper Kupp (ankle) considered day-to-day

Cooper Kupp (ankle) is expected to be day-to-day with the ankle injury he sustained in Sunday’s loss to the 49ers.

Fantasy Impact

Kupp sustained a low-ankle sprain in the final minutes of the team’s blowout loss to the 49ers. It was a scary sight for fantasy managers, but luckily the injury was minor and he should be okay. There’s a chance he doesn’t play this week or plays at less than 100%, and this is a situation fantasy managers should keep tabs on.

Gus Edwards will be questionable for Monday night

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said that RB Gus Edwards will be questionable for Monday night as he deals with a minor hamstring strain, according to The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec

Fantasy Impact

Edwards recently returned from an ACL tear that left him out of last season. In two games, Edwards has run for 131 yards on 27 carries with two touchdowns. If Edwards misses, RB Kenyan Drake will likely become the next man up, as he saw the majority of the work and found success after Edwards left Week 8 with an injury.

Mark Ingram II suffers MCL sprain on Sunday

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, RB Mark Ingram II suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain in Sunday’s victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. He will likely miss 3-4 weeks.

Fantasy Impact

Ingram left Sunday’s game early, paving the way for RB Alvin Kamara to get the lion’s share of touches in an elite three-TD performance. Ingram’s injury is considered to be a relief, only keeping him out 3-4 weeks. In the meantime, Kamara will continue to get an increased workload on the ground, and QB/TE Taysom Hill could see more work as well.

Chase Young (knee) to return to practice Wednesday

Chase Young (knee) is set to return to practice Wednesday and will open his 21-day practice window.

Fantasy Impact

Young has missed all of this season and most of last season thanks to a brutal knee injury he suffered early last year, but it looks like his return may finally be on the horizon. He will open his 21-day practice window on Wednesday, and that means we should expect him on the field in the next few weeks. If he is actually healthy, he will provide a major boost to a lacking Washington defense.
