Tyler Lockett has been highly productive in 2022, save for a clunker in Week 6 against Arizona. The 30-year-old has been a pleasant surprise for fantasy managers who nabbed him late in drafts. He played last week despite an injury designation due to a hamstring issue that continued through the practices leading up to Week 7. The Seahawks face the Chargers in what should be a high-scoring affair, making him a possible WR1 if he can suit up. So will Lockett be available to fantasy managers for a potential shootout? Tyler Lockett was listed as questionable for the Seahawks as they gear up to take on the Chargers in Week 7.
Fantasy Impact
Lockett popped up on the injury report with a hamstring issue prior to the Week 6 matchup with the Cardinals but ultimately ended up playing. The fact that he was unable to get even one practice in this week is at least a bit concerning for his Sunday prospects. Lockett is most likely on the wrong side of questionable to play at this point. Fantasy managers need to have back up options ready to go for the 4:25 PM EST kickoff.
What the Experts are Saying
Lockett is the WR21 in fantasy points per game, but he’s a WR1 this week in a shootout. He has shown no signs of skill erosion, ranking 17th in PFF receiving grade and 15th in yards per route run (minimum 15 targets). He leads the team with 11 deep targets (sixth-best). He’s a big play threat that hasn’t seen many looks in the red zone (three red zone targets). When he’s not in the slot (42%) against Bryce Callahan (63.6% catch rate, 63.3 passer rating), he’ll be lighting up J.C. Jackson (73.9% catch rate, 155.3 passer rating), who can’t catch a cold these days.
