Will Rashod Bateman Play in Week 7? (2022 Fantasy Football)

Rashod Bateman’s potential breakout season has been clouded a bit by injuries, as he has missed the last two games with a lingering foot injury. This same injury is still giving him trouble, leaving his status for this week in doubt. The wideout showed flashes of solid fantasy production early in the season as the WR1 in Baltimore and the second receiving option behind Mark Andrews. Will Bateman be able to finally suit up again in Week 7 against the Browns? Here’s what we know.

According to PFF’s Ari Meirov, WR Rashod Bateman is officially questionable for Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns.

Fantasy Impact

Bateman seems to be on track to play after being limited all week. Bateman has missed the last two games, giving more opportunity to WR Devin Duvernay. On the year, Bateman has 243 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Bateman is a solid flex option if healthy in a divisional matchup.

What the Experts are Saying

Truly a game-time decision, but we’d lean towards Bateman playing. Mid-foot sprains average 2-3 weeks for WRs, and he’s now at week 3. A mild (~10%) performance dip is expected in the first game back, so we’d avoid him for DFS either way.

Bateman has been listed as questionable (foot) after practicing in a limited capacity all week. In Weeks 1-3, Bateman saw an 18.8% target share averaging 5.3 targets, 2.7 receptions, and 75.3 receiving yards. He played 64.2% of the snaps and saw a 74.7% route run rate. In Weeks 1-3 Bateman was 35th in PFF receiving grade and third in yards per route run (minimum 15 targets). Bateman will run about 85% of his routes against Williams and Emerson. He’s a WR3.
