Jakobi Meyers has only appeared in two games this season but has since been out with a knee injury. The Patriots have an enticing Week 5 matchup against the Lions, who rank 24th in pass DVOA. Fantasy managers would obviously enjoy having Meyers back, even with Bailey Zappe throwing to him. The question remains whether or not the 25-year-old will suit up on Sunday. Here is what we know right now.
- Will Curtis Samuel Play in Week 5?
- Will Brian Robinson Jr. Play in Week 5?
- Will Amon-Ra St. Brown Play in Week 5?

Jakobi Meyers (knee) is questionable for Week 5
Jakobi Meyers (knee) was limited in practice on Friday. He is officially listed as questionable ahead of Week 5 against the Lions.
Fantasy Impact
Meyers hasn’t played since Week 2, when he notched an impressive 13 targets, nine catches, and 95 yards against Pittsburgh. If active on Sunday, he would rank as a low-end WR3. While the matchup against Detroit props up his fantasy value, he’s still a relatively risky start considering third-string quarterback Bailey Zappe is slated to start for New England.
What the Experts are Saying
Meyers has been listed as questionable after limited practices all week. If he suits up, he’s a risky WR3 play with the injury worries. In Meyers’ two games played, he’s been excellent, though. He is 15th in yards per route run and 38th in PFF, receiving grade immediately ahead of Ja’Marr Chase and Courtland Sutton (minimum ten targets). He is also eighth in target share and fifth in targets per route run. Those numbers are elite. He’s run 62% of his routes from the slot, which pits him against Mike Hughes. Hughes has been giving this year with an 80% catch rate and 133.3 passer rating in coverage.
