Isaiah McKenzie came into this season with his role relatively unknown in this Buffalo offense, as Gabe Davis was the consensus WR2 while veteran Jamison Crowder loomed as another presence in the receiver room. However, McKenzie has settled in nicely as the slot receiver in this offense with Crowder going down with a broken ankle and Gabe Davis dealing with an injury of his own. Now, just as he had turned the corner to be considered a solid FLEX option in fantasy, McKenzie is dealing with his own health issues, having suffered a concussion in Week 4. Will the wideout be able to suit up for Sunday’s matchup with the Steelers? Here’s what we know.
- Will Jakobi Meyers Play in Week 5?
- Will Brian Robinson Jr. Play in Week 5?

Isaiah McKenzie (concussion) questionable for Week 5
Isaiah McKenzie (concussion) was limited in practice on Friday and is officially listed as questionable for Week 5 against the Steelers.
Fantasy Impact
Even as the Bills’ No. 3 receiver, McKenzie has emerged as an intriguing fantasy option, catching 15 passes for 153 yards and three touchdowns. Heading into a matchup against a susceptible Steelers secondary, McKenzie is a fine FLEX play if active.

What the Experts are Saying
If McKenzie can clear concussion protocol for this week’s game, this could be his blow-up game. Jamison Crowder is now sidelined with a broken ankle. Working in tandem with Crowder from the slot, McKenzie has been regulated to a 53.9% route run rate. Despite that fact, he tied Diggs for the team lead with a 17.6% target share last week. He’s the WR38 in fantasy points per game. If McKenzie is good to go, he’ll run about 76% of his routes against Arthur Maulet. Maulet has allowed a 66.7% catch rate and 100.0 passer rating this season. In his career (121 targets), he’s given up a 71.1% catch rate and 100.8 passer rating. McKenzie could see nearly every down route rate as a solid WR3 with WR2 upside.
