Dak Prescott injured his thumb in Week 1, had it surgically repaired, and has not played since. While his rehab has progressed quickly, there is still some question about whether this is the week he will take the reins back from backup QB Cooper Rush, who led the Cowboys to a 5-1 record in Prescott’s absence. In a week filled with top players on bye weeks, fantasy managers could benefit from getting the 29-year-old back on the field. So will Dak Prescott play in Week 7?

Dak Prescott (thumb) medically cleared to return
Dak Prescott has been medically cleared and is expected to be a full participant at practice on Thursday, per Mike McCarthy.
Fantasy Impact
Prescott was able to return to practice on Wednesday and it sounds like he is on track to being able to return this weekend against the Lions. After a hot start from Cooper Rush, he figures to go back to the bench barring any setbacks from Prescott.

What the Experts are Saying
Prescott looks to return this week and he has a fantastic matchup against a Lions D that is 28th against fantasy QBs. I would have him as an elite QB1, but he could be rusty having missed the last 5 weeks. He is a boom / bust QB at home against one of the worst defenses in the NFL.
