Brian Robinson Jr.’s training camp and regular season has been one of the rollercoasters of the NFL season so far. After dominating camp and looking like he was in line to start the year as the RB1 over Antonio Gibson, Robinson was the victim of an attempted car robbery and suffered gunshot wounds, landing him on the IR to start the season. The rookie has made a quick recovery and could even see action in Week 5 against the Titans. With Gibson not distancing himself much in the first four weeks, Robinson could be in line for some carries in a split backfield as soon as he returns. However, will that be this Sunday? Here’s what we know.
- Will Curtis Samuel Play in Week 5?
- Will Jakobi Meyers Play in Week 5?
- Will Amon-Ra St. Brown Play in Week 5?
- Will Alvin Kamara Play in Week 5?
- Will Tyreek Play in Week 5?

Brian Robinson Jr. (leg) to see how he feels Saturday
Ron Rivera said they will see how Brian Robinson feels tomorrow and if he’s good to go, they’ll activate him.
Fantasy Impact
Robinson was officially designated to return to practice this past week. Whether he returns this weekend or potentially the week after, the Commanders will likely ease him back into action early on.

What the Experts are Saying
Robinson’s status is still up in the air for Week 5, but even if he’s active, he shouldn’t be in your fantasy lineup. Until we get clarity on his spot in the pecking order, he’s a blindfolded dart throw that’s likely to bounce off the wall and end up in your skull.
-Derek Brown
Looks like he’s ready to make his debut only ~5 weeks after getting shot. Luckily, it sounds like the areas he got hit were mostly large muscle groups (glute, thigh, etc). Those areas recover quickly because they have good blood supply, and the overall strength/explosiveness impact is likely to be relatively mild. Expect Robinson to look like 85-90% of his pre-injury self, although we don’t know how the Commanders plan to utilize him.
