NFL DFS Week 7 Stacking Advice & Strategy (2022 Fantasy Football)

Week 7 is upon us, and after finally getting an offensive Thursday night game, we turn our attention to the Sunday slate. This Sunday slate is slightly different due to the bye weeks playing out. We lose out on the Bills, Eagles and Vikings this week. Due to these byes, we are missing elite options such as Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, Stefon Diggs, Justin Jefferson, AJ Brown and more. Picking the right stacks this week will make or break us as DFS players. Let’s break down which stacks you should look towards this weekend.

Dak Prescott + CeeDee Lamb + Dalton Schultz (QB + WR + TE – DAL)

The Lions’ defense is one we want to target every chance we can in DFS. The Lions have the second-worst fantasy points per game (FPPG) for the quarterback position. That same defense is the ninth worse FPPG to wide receivers and the seventh-worst to tight ends. The Dallas offense has a chance to get back on track with their franchise quarterback returning and he should lean heavily on his stud wide receiver and safety blanket Dalton Schultz. You can add this stack without Schultz if his knee injury concerns you, however, due to his low production without Dak, Shultz’s salary comes in around the punt play level and can help you spend up elsewhere. If Schultz is inactive, a deep shot with Jake Ferguson could help you cash in tournaments.

Joe Burrow + Ja’Marr Chase (QB + WR – CIN)

We finally received that Burrow/Chase connection last week and we could see more of that this week if Tee Higgins is still hampered by his injury. Now, as of the writing of this article, Higgins did log a full practice; however, this play could pay dividends regardless of Higgins’s health. Atlanta is allowing the ninth most FPPG. Atlanta’s defense also allows the second most attempts and completions while allowing the fourth most passing touchdowns in the NFL. There is a high probability of an aerial attack coming from the Cincinnati side of the ball.

If you are looking for a dart throw bring back for this stack, look at Olamide Zaccheaus. It is risky, but he led the Falcons last week with four targets for 58 yards and has only had one game under ten regarding his yards per target.

Breece Hall + Jets Defense (RB + DEF – NYJ)

It has become the Breece Hall show lately. Zach Wilson is only averaging 19.5 targets in his last two games, while Breece Hall, in his previous three games (all Wilson starts), averaged 18 carries. Hall has only scored under 12 fantasy points in one game this season, and that was his NFL debut. This young RB is coming into his own as the rookie darling we all hoped for and I’ll continue to lean on him this week.

As for the Jets’ defense, it’s a perfect punt play for your DFS lineup this week. They face an offense that is struggling in the Denver Broncos. They also either face an injured Russell Wilson or a backup quarterback, which is something we should always target when given the opportunity.

The Jets’ defense has created pressure in the last three weeks. They have totaled 11 sacks in that time frame, and remember the rule: Sacks + pressure lead to turnovers. In that timeframe, the Jets’ defense has scored 12, 9 and 20 fantasy points (Draftkings). Take the low salary and opportunity and run with it for your lineup.

A dart throw you can add for GPP plays only, Denzel Mims. A lot has to be done for this play to be used in your lineups. Elijah Moore‘s trade talks and practice “controversy” leads to him being inactive this Sunday. Since Mims has been practicing in his X role, we could take a deep shot here to save salary and build leverage on the field. Extremely high-risk/high-reward play here though.
