Week 5 started slowly with a sleeper of a Thursday night game between the Broncos and Colts. However, Sunday should bring us some fireworks for our DFS lineups. We will break down the approach of attacking some of the higher over-under games on the slate this weekend to have each of our lineups cash this Sunday.
In this article, we will show you double stacks, stacks with defensive plays, the bring-back stack and your typical QB-WR stack. Let’s start with a bring-back stack from a one-sided divisional matchup.

Week 5 Stacking Advice & Strategy
Tom Brady + Chris Godwin + Cade Otton (QB + WR +TE – TB)
In the last two games, Brady has averaged 47 pass attempts. He also threw for 385 yards and three touchdowns in Week 4. This week he faces Atlanta. DraftKings Sportsbook has the O/U line for touchdowns at 2.5 and Brady’s O/U for yards at 283.5.
Brady would amass over 20 points for your lineup in a four-point TD league. This total doesn’t count in any bonuses he could reach while facing a Falcons defense that has allowed the eighth most yards passing and 10th most fantasy points to the QB position. What is the cherry on top of starting Brady? He has never lost to the Falcons in his career. You can start Brady with confidence this weekend.
Why should Godwin be in your lineup? Although the start of his season has been marred with injuries, he totaled ten targets last week, pulling in seven of those for 59 yards. So, Brady finally has another weapon he can trust in this offense. It should pay dividends this weekend against a defense that allows the second most touchdowns to wide receivers, fourth most receptions, eighth-most fantasy points to the position and ninth most yards to the position.
Otton is in play as a dart throw considering Cameron Brate is out for this week’s game. It’s a high-risk, high-reward play with a low price ($2,900 on Draftkings). A 4-50 stat line would allow you to 3x at this position in your lineup.
Andy Dalton + Chris Olave (QB + WR – NO)
Dalton will be under center for the Saints on Sunday and faces a premium matchup. The Seahawks have allowed the fifth most yards to the QB position. They are tied for the fourth most touchdowns allowed to quarterbacks as well and have allowed the fifth most fantasy points to the position overall.
With Michael Thomas struggling with an injury, we again turn back to Olave. Olave has averaged 11 targets in the last three games. He has also averaged six receptions, 98 yards and 16.35 yards per catch in that span. Finally, Olave is third in air yards in 2022.
Olave, with his stellar route-running ability, has been a shining star for the Saints this season. He should continue to return dividends for your DFS lineups.
Jalen Hurts + A.J. Brown + Zach Ertz (QB + WR – PHI, TE – ARI)
We shouldn’t have to explain why Hurts and Brown are a good combination at this point in the season. We pair a Konami code QB with a WR who has had multiple games over ten targets in an outing that has one of the highest O/U totals on the slate this weekend.
The bring-back piece should be Ertz. He is top five in receptions and touchdowns at the tight-end position. He is pricey but has a safe floor to allow you to take advantage of a game that should hit the over this weekend.
Damien Harris + Patriots D (RB + D/ST – NE)
The Patriots take on the Lions this week, meaning they will face one of the worst defenses in the NFL. For RB, the Lions have been a play to target all season to this point. They have allowed the most touchdowns to the position, the seventh most rushing yards and the second most fantasy points. So, this is a matchup you can take advantage of this week. Harris is the back you want to use, as he leads the Patriots with rushing attempts inside the five-yard line.
We head back into this game to use the Patriots D/ST. The reasoning is quite simple: injuries on the opposing offense. Right now, the Lions are dealing with injuries to D’Andre Swift, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Josh Reynolds. Although Jared Goff and the offense have been stellar, Bill Belichick should be able to torment the Lions QB and the game plan all day.
If you like to add a bring-back in this game, don’t forget from last week’s article that tight-end plays against the Patriots often return high dividends for our lineup. Therefore, T.J. Hockenson is in play.
