Monkey Knife Fight Advice: Week 6 (2022 Fantasy Football)

Welcome to Monkey Knife Fight. Monkey Knife Fight is one of the more intriguing entrants in the DFS arena. Instead of the traditional salary cap based contests, Monkey Knife Fight allows DFS players to put their fantasy football knowledge and predictive powers to the test.

They offer fantasy point and stat-based contests. Perhaps the most appealing of all of their offerings is the ‘More or Less’ contests. In these contests, you can choose whether a player will fall above or below totals for a preset combination of two to 10 players. Your win probability obviously goes down with the more players you add, but you receive an increased payout multiplier in exchange.

Since Monkey Knife Fight’s fantasy point and stat-based totals are dynamic, meaning the total, total type, and pairings change throughout the week, it is important to search for favorable and advantageous total pairings to exploit on a daily basis. Ideally, when choosing a total pairing, you want to feel extremely confident on one of the totals and feel strongly enough about the other total to proceed. This week we will take a look at two of the ‘More’ options that stood out the most for Week 6. Note that these are not locked in pairings, and may no longer be offered by the time you log in to make your picks.

Plays of the week

Rhamondre Stevenson (RB – NE): 75.5 rushing yards
Rhamdondre Stevenson is set to take on the lead back role for Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns. Damien Harris is listed as questionable despite initially being set to miss multiple weeks, which leads us to believe he will still be made inactive by game-time decision. Harris’ projected absence should give Stevenson the opportunity to pile up the carries. New England will run the ball regardless of gamescript, especially if Bailey Zappe makes another start. Rhamondre will be facing a Browns team that has relinquished 124.8 rushing yards per game to opposing backfields. He has a history of success against them, as he ran for 100 yards on Cleveland as a rookie last season. The Browns allowed over 200 rushing yards to Austin Ekeler and Joshua Kelley last week and will be with Jadeveon Clowney this week. Being down arguably their best run defender is not going to help their efforts in trying to stop a back who is rolling after running for 161 rushing yards in Week 5. Prediction: More

Nick Chubb (RB – CLE): 89.5 rushing yards
The number is high at 89.5, but this is one of the standout offerings of the weekend. Nick Chubb leads the NFL with 118.6 rushing yards per game and has crossed 113 rushing yards in three straight and in four of five games this season. He hit 87 yards in the other. This week the Browns will be facing a New England Patriots team that has allowed 93.8 rushing yards per game to opposing backfields. They allowed Aaron Jones to hit 110 yards and Dillon to hit 73 yards back in Week 4. Nick Chubb is the league’s hottest rusher and will be leaned on regardless of gamescript. With that said, fantasy players should try to include Chubb in all of their early slate MonkeyKnifeFight entries for Week 6.

Prediction: More

Marquise Brown (WR – ARI): 75.5 receiving yards
Marquise Brown has been one of the hottest wide receivers in the league to start the season, averaging 83.4 receiving yards per game. He has recorded over 78 receiving yards in three straight games and is the only player in the NFL with 10+ targets in four straight games. He gets the Seattle Seahawks defense that has been torched for 8.9 yards per attempt (highest in the NFL) and 259.8 passing yards per game (eight most in the NFL). Brown has accounted for 34 percent of the Cardinals receiving yards this season and 39.5 percent of their air yards. He has seen an elite 27.3 target share and should easily find his way to 76 receiving yards against a weak pass defense in a game that should be competitive. Click More on Marquise for Week 6.
