Fantasy Football Injury Updates

Amon-Ra St. Brown questionable to play Week 8

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, WR Amon-Ra St. Brown is questionable to play on Sunday after returning to practice fully on Friday.

Fantasy Impact

St. Brown left Week 7’s game with a concussion scare, but he cleared protocol and is good to go this week. St. Brown was limited to start the week but was a full participant on Friday, a good sign he will play. He will likely return to operating as the team’s primary target in the passing game against Miami.

Ryan Tannehill listed as questionable for Sunday

According to PFF’s Ari Meirov, QB Ryan Tannehill is questionable to play on Sunday with an ankle injury that kept him sidelined during Wednesday’s practice.

Fantasy Impact

Tannehill did not practice on Wednesday but returned in a limited capacity on Thursday. If Tannehill were to miss time, rookie QB Malik Willis would be next in line for the Titans against the Texans. RB Derrick Henry has historically been dominant against Houston, though, so no matter who plays, they will likely be limited by the Titans’ game plan from a fantasy perspective.

Russell Wilson to start Sunday in London

According to Mike Klis of 9NEWS, QB Russell Wilson is expected to start versus the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday in London.

Fantasy Impact

Wilson dealt with a hamstring injury that kept him out of Week 7’s contest, a loss to the New York Jets. QB Brett Rypien passed for 225 yards with no touchdowns and an interception in his absence. Wilson has struggled this season even when healthy, throwing for just five touchdowns. But with the weapons available on Denver’s offense, Wilson can still be viewed as a QB2 option in superflex formats.

D’Andre Swift off the Lions injury report

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, RB D’Andre Swift is off of the Detroit Lions’ injury report and should be good to go.

Fantasy Impact

Swift has not played since Week 3, making his return a welcomed one. Swift was off to a hot start, averaging over 8.5 yards per carry and 9.6 yards per catch. The Lions’ offense has sputtered in recent weeks, so Swift’s return is welcomed versus the Dolphins.
