Fantasy Football Injury Updates
J.K. Dobbins undergoing knee surgery, out 4-6 weeks
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, RB J.K. Dobbins will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery next week, sidelining him for 4-6 weeks (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Dobbins had a flare-up in his knee after returning from an ACL tear he suffered last season that will keep him out for Week 7. Now, he will undergo surgery to fix his knee. With a potential 4-6 week timeline, the Ravens may go running-back-by-committee, turn toward RB Gus Edwards or explore the trade market.
Mark Andrews questionable to play Sunday
According to PFF’s Ari Meirov, TE Mark Andrews is questionable to play on Sunday after missing two practices this week. (Source: Ari Meirov on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Andrews was absent on both Wednesday and Thursday with a knee issue, though the first day was called a rest day. Regardless, he returned to practice Friday. Andrews should be good to go, but if he does need to sit out, a rookie TE Isaiah Likely will likely get the workload.
Jonathan Taylor off injury report, will play Sunday
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, RB Jonathan Taylor is off the Colts’ injury report and will play after his second full practice this week. (Source: Tom Pelissero on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Taylor missed weeks 5 and 6 with injury but will be good to go and receive his usual workload, presumably. Taylor averages over 20 rushing attempts per game this season, and even if he’s fallen somewhat short of his lofty expectations, is reliable to be a great start every week. His ground game will likely be needed to take down a surging Titans team.
Russell Wilson a game-time decision versus Jets
According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, QB Russell Wilson is a game-time decision for Sunday. He’s officially listed as questionable. (Source: Mike Garafolo on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Wilson was listed as a limited participant in practice this week as QB Brett Rypien reportedly factored in during practices. If Wilson is unable to go, Rypien is expected to get the start. Wilson has struggled to be a reliable fantasy option this season, though, so it’s safe to look for other options.
