Fantasy Football Injury Updates
Michael Thomas ruled out for Sunday
According to Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football, WR Michael Thomas is improving but will be out on Sunday against the Bengals. (Source: Nick Underhill on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Thomas will be inactive for his third straight game after opening the season strong. The Saints’ offense has been dealing with injuries all around but looked solid against a weak Seattle defense in Week 5. Thomas’ status going forward is uncertain, though he seems to be progressing. Thomas was averaging 57 yards and a touchdown when he did play to start the year.
James Conner (ribs) officially ruled out Sunday

Fantasy Impact: It is all aboard the Eno Benjamin train, as the Cardinals now find themselves down their top two options at running back. Darrel Williams was also ruled out Friday with a knee injury of his own. With Arizona on a quick turnaround following Sunday, it remains to be seen if Conner will be ready for Thursday Night Football next week. Benjamin needs to be owned everywhere.
Kyle Pitts (hamstring) listed as questionable for Sunday
Kyle Pitts (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable ahead of the Falcons’ game against the 49ers. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Pitts missed the Falcons’ game in Week 5 with a hamstring injury. It appears that he will be ready to go in Week 6, although his involvement in the offense has been a disappointment so far this season. Fantasy managers will want to have a backup plan just in case Pitts is limited or does not suit up in Week 6.
Justin Fields reaggravates shoulder injury Thursday
Justin Fields reaggravated a previous shoulder injury in Thursday’s loss to the Commanders. (Source: Around the NFL on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Fields added that “I’m hurting, I’m hurting pretty good,” so it seems as though this injury is something to keep an eye on. He’ll have a little extra time to rest up as the Bears don’t play until Monday 10/24. While he has averaged over 50 rushing yards per game, he has not been good enough in the passing game to be a reliable fantasy starter regardless of injury.
