Fantasy Football Injury Updates
David Njoku ruled out with an ankle injury
David Njoku has been ruled out for the remainder of Week 7 with an ankle injury.
Fantasy Impact
Njoku caught all seven of his targets for 71 yards prior to the injury. Harrison Bryant is now the lone healthy tight end left for the Browns against Baltimore. The Browns should provide more details on the nature of Njoku’s injury soon.
Ja’Marr Chase returns to the game after apparent injury
Ja’Marr Chase has returned to the game after heading to the locker room late in the first half.
Fantasy Impact
Chase pulled up lame while running a route towards the end of the first half against Atlanta. Chase has already a big day against the Falcons, posting 112 yards and two touchdowns on five receptions and was able to finish the game. It would appear that there is no concern moving forward, but it will be worth monitoring the injury to be sure.
Baker Mayfield could return for Week 8
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, QB Baker Mayfield will not play today but could return next Sunday against Atlanta.
Fantasy Impact
Mayfield has struggled to start the season, throwing for 962 yards in five games with four touchdowns and four interceptions. Mayfield will miss weeks 6 and 7 with an ankle injury, but with QB Sam Darnold slated to return in Week 8 as well, Mayfield’s job security is looking less stable than it did to start the year.
Amon-Ra St. Brown ruled out for rest of Week 7
Amon-Ra St. Brown has been ruled out of the rest of Week 7’s game against the Lions with a concussion.
Fantasy Impact
St. Brown took a hard hit and appeared dazed after his one catch for four yards. He had struggled with an ankle injury but was ready to go following Detroit’s bye week. Khalif Raymond and T.J. Hockenson are now Jared Goff’s primary receivers.
