Fantasy Football Injury Updates
Davante Adams (illness) does not practice Thursday
Davante Adams did not practice Thursday due to an illness.
Fantasy Impact
Adams has not practiced either of the last 2 days due to this illness, which is most likely the flu. He still has time to get better for Sunday, but this will be a situation worth monitoring as the week goes on.
Chuba Hubbard (ankle) misses practice Thursday
Chuba Hubbard (ankle) missed Thursday’s practice for the Carolina Panthers.
Fantasy Impact
Hubbard was sidelined for a second consecutive day at practice after exiting Carolina’s Week 7 contest against the Buccaneers with the injury. If the running back is unable to get cleared in time for Week 8, expect D’Onta Foreman to see the majority of the touches out of the backfield against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8.

DK Metcalf (knee) absent from Thursday’s practice
DK Metcalf remained absent from practice on Thursday due to a patellar tendon injury.
Fantasy Impact
Even though the injury will not require surgery, Metcalf’s inability to practice heading into Week 8 is discouraging for fantasy managers. Should he be unable to go, Tyler Lockett and Marquise Goodwin would see their roles increase, with Dee Eskridge slotting into the WR3 role. Goodwin would be worth a speculative add before Seattle’s tilt against New York.
Deebo Samuel (hamstring) misses Thursday practice
Deebo Samuel missed practice on Thursday as he continues to deal with a hamstring injury.
Fantasy Impact
The 26-year-old WR has not practiced since Sunday’s game, which does not bode well for his availability in Week 8. Samuel has tallied 387 receiving yards and 138 rushing yards with three touchdowns in 2022. With Christian McCaffrey in the fold, it’s hard to predict what the 49ers’ offense will look like in general. If Samuel cannot play, Brandon Aiyuk and Ray-Ray McCloud would be in line for more opportunities, though CMC would probably be the biggest beneficiary. Keep an eye on Deebo’s status, particularly after Friday’s injury updates arrive.
