Fantasy Football Injury Updates
Deebo Samuel officially out for Week 8
According to Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle, WR Deebo Samuel is out for Sunday’s contest with the Los Angeles Rams.
Fantasy Impact
Samuel missed practice all week, so this comes as no surprise. Samuel is dealing with a hamstring issue, something that tends to linger over the course of a season. With Samuel’s dual-threat ability out, every weapon in San Francisco’s offense receives a slight upgrade, although WR Brandon Aiyuk may see more of CB Jalen Ramsey than he initially would have if Samuel had played.
Allen Lazard officially ruled out for Sunday
Allen Lazard has officially been ruled out for Sunday with a should injury.
Fantasy Impact
Lazard has not practiced this week after suffering a shoulder injury in the Packers’ loss to the Commanders. Fantasy managers should expect Romeo Doubs and Sammy Watkins to see additional targets with Lazard out of the lineup. If Christian Watson is able to suit up in Week 8 he also would be in line for additional targets.
Dalton Schultz (knee) expected to play Sunday
Dalton Schultz (knee) is expected to be available to play in Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears.
Fantasy Impact
Schultz is dealing with a knee injury that has been bothering him for almost the entire season. It has improved a little bit, and although he’s still listed as questionable, he’s expected to play on Sunday. He will provide a nice boost for the Cowboys and Dak Prescott as they take on Chicago Sunday.
Darrell Henderson Jr. good to go on Sunday
Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said that RB Darrell Henderson Jr. is “feeling good” after an illness and is good to go this weekend against the 49ers.
Fantasy Impact
RB Cam Akers has been ruled out again for personal reasons for Week 8, putting Henderson back in the driver’s seat in Los Angeles’ backfield. The 49ers have a strong defense, but the Atlanta Falcons and Kansas City Chiefs each managed to find success on them recently. Henderson could be in line for solid volume, but against a strong front seven, his production is tough to guarantee.
