Fantasy Football Injury Updates

David Montgomery (ankle) logs limited practice Thursday

Fantasy Impact: Montgomery returning to the practice field is a good sign for the fourth-year back, who was held out of the Bears’ Week 4 loss to the Giants. It is still yet to be known whether Montgomery will be good to go on Sunday, but his status in Friday’s practice should give fantasy managers a clearer picture. If Montgomery is to miss Sunday’s game or be limited, Khalil Herbert will once again be slated to receive the bulk of the work in the Bears backfield.

Keenan Allen (hamstring) not practicing Thursday

Fantasy Impact: Allen failing to log any practice time for the second straight day this week puts his status for Sunday’s game against Cleveland very much in doubt. Allen has already missed three games with his hamstring ailment, and it appears he could be trending toward missing a fourth. Fantasy managers should be prepared to turn elsewhere Sunday, especially if Allen fails to log any practice time Friday. If Allen is out once again the bulk of the WR targets for the Chargers would once again fall to Mike Williams, Joshua Palmer, and DeAndre Carter.

Michael Thomas (toe) does not practice Thursday

Fantasy Impact: Thomas was sidelined with a toe injury for the Saints’ matchup with the Vikings in London in Week 4. His status will be worth monitoring Friday when he should receive and official injury designation. If Thomas cannot suit up against Seattle, fantasy managers should expect Chris Olave and Jarvis Landry to see additional targets.

Rashod Bateman (foot) missing practice again on Thursday

Fantasy Impact: Bateman may still suit up, but it’s best to make other plans at this point. Check Friday’s practice reports and injury designation if he’s on your roster. Devin Duvernay is available in many leagues and would be an excellent replacement if Bateman can’t go against the Bengals.
