Fantasy Football Injury Updates

Ryan Tannehill ruled out for Week 8

Ryan Tannehill has officially been ruled out for Week 8 against Houston.

Fantasy Impact

Tannehill will miss his first game of the season due to an illness and an ankle injury. Rookie Malik Willis, who saw all of the first team reps in practice this week, will make his first NFL start. With Tannehill out, fantasy managers should slightly downgrade the Titans’ pass catchers.

Davante Adams (illness) expected to play Week 8

Davante Adams (illness) is expected to be available to play in Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints.

Fantasy Impact

Adams has been battling the flu recently, which knocked him out of practice for almost the entire week. He is reportedly feeling better now and should be good to go for Sunday. The veteran is unlikely to face any restrictions and will be a must-start in a matchup against the Saints.

Logan Thomas (calf) expected to play vs. Colts

Logan Thomas (calf) is expected to play in Sunday afternoon’s matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.

Fantasy Impact

Thomas is dealing with a calf injury of some kind that landed him on the injury report. It appears to be minor, and he should be well enough to play in Week 8. The veteran could serve as a possible streaming option at best this week.

Tyler Lockett (hamstring/ribs) expected to play Week 8

Tyler Lockett (hamstring/ribs) is expected to be available to play in Sunday’s game against the New York Giants.

Fantasy Impact

Lockett has been dealing with various injuries that have landed him on the injury report all week, but he should be good to go and is expected to be available Sunday. Fantasy managers were hopeful that he would see increased usage in the possible absence of DK Metcalf (knee), but it turns out that Metcalf is playing and Lockett will retain his role as the WR2 on the team.
