Fantasy Football Injury Updates

Michael Thomas (foot) non-participant in practice Wednesday

Michael Thomas (foot) didn’t participate in the Saints’ practice on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

Thomas is still dealing with a foot injury he sustained early on in the season that has sidelined him for the last several weeks. His timetable for return still isn’t clear, but there’s been some positive things being said about his recovery. It seems more likely than not that he won’t play Sunday, and that would mean more targets for rookie Chris Olave.

D’Andre Swift (ankle/shoulder) practices in full Wednesday

D’Andre Swift (ankle/shoulder) was a full-participant in Detroit’s practice on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

Swift has had to miss multiple consecutive weeks due to injury, but he seems to be improving and was able to log a full practice session on Wednesday. It seems likely that the young star will be good to go for Sunday, and he should return to his usual RB1 role with Jamaal Williams backing him up and getting the goal-line work.

Davante Adams (illness) does not practice Wednesday

Davante Adams (illness) did not participate in practice Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

Adams is coming off an eight catch performance in a win over the Texans. Since Adams’ absence is just due to illness, it is likely that he suits up against the Saints. Adams ranks as the WR6 in ECR, according to FantasyPros.

Amon-Ra St. Brown (concussion) in a red no-contact jersey Wednesday

Amon-Ra St. Brown was practicing in a red no-contact jersey on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

St. Brown was reportedly removed from Sunday’s game due to a concussion. Dan Campbell went on to say he did not suffer a concussion, but was unable to return to the field due to league rules that prohibit a return for players who are exhibiting ataxia. He should be good to go this weekend against the Dolphins barring any setbacks.
